Countless celebrities have been introducing new makeup items and high-profile lines, including Rihanna, Salma Hayek, Drew Barrymore, the Kardashians (presumably all of them). But now, YouTube stars are both managing their channels, creating fun and inspiring content, and on top of it all, some are even creating their own beauty products.

In that latter category is Remi Cruz, a Los Angelos-based lifestyle maven with three million followers, who's come up with her own skincare brand that rolled out in May. At only 23, the young entrepreneur launched HoneyPop, a beauty brand that so far has only one item in its inventory.

The said item, I'm On Staycation Tonight, consists of a mud mask base, a serum for cutting out the puffiness around the eyes, an acne ointment, and a gel for exfoliation. The four-piece set includes accessories like a spatula to spread all that substance on, as well as a bowl to mix the stuff.

The biggest selling feature of Staycation is its ability to curb those nasty acne outbreaks, which Cruz claims have been a big problem for her for quite a while. To her, this product is not just a vanity item to hawk online. Cruz apparently spent a year working on the formula for Staycation and according to those who've already bought it, she's got a winning combination.

The kit allows users to mix their very own face mask, adding the ingredients that they feel will be most effective in improving their skin. No one mask is going to be perfect for everyone, which is something that Cruz has clearly recognized. Her kit allows skincare fanatics to customize the mask to suit their needs. Snaps and claps for that!

She already sold out her first run within 10 days of the launch but plans to put out more. Cruz is currently manning a booth at VidCon in Anaheim. There, she is running a contest with the winner getting a chance to meet the YouTube star. As well, they will receive swag, a thousand bucks, and other prizes.

It's been a whirlwind since Cruz started her YouTube channel in 2012 with a series of DIY beauty hints, cooking advice, and lifestyle tips, but she received major attention after a video tackling the subject of body shaming went viral.

We are so happy to see creators like Remi out in the beauty community creating useful and interesting products with the best interest of their fans in mind!
