Young female YouTubers are getting real on their channels, exploring and talking about those topics that affect so many women these days. Despite having success, some fame, and money, many of the social media starlets are using the video platform to share how they are not that different from you and I.

It is a refreshing trend, showcasing how the next generation is all about keeping it real as opposed to giving off an unrealistic persona. Here are five lovely young ladies turning out to be quite the role models. They shared some of their deepest, darkest, hardest secrets to help others and they all deserve to be applauded for their courage. The world needs more real young women like these YouTubers.

MissRemiAshten

Her real name is Remi Cruz, and she is quickly becoming a social media favorite. Cruz has a spunky fun personality and is not afraid to let her followers know when she has made a mistake. The 22-year-old discusses topics such as makeup, getting organized, healthy weight-loss tips and DIY projects. However, last week she did a video called The Truth About Everything where she opened up and became so vulnerable. She opened up about being criticized for changing, losing friendships, her weight, and relationships. You know, the stuff we all go through. One of her opening statements was about how YouTube makes it seem like “her life is perfect but it is not.” The 20-minute video is a must-see, as it will help you to understand why she is one to follow on social media.

NikiDemar

NikiDemar, whose real name is Niki DeMartino, is part of the musical twin sensation Niki and Gabi. As they worked to land their first EP deal, which they did, the twins used social media to develop their brand. They became social media sensations very quickly. And even though they do videos together, they also have their own YouTube videos and these girls do not hold back. The other day Niki got real when she opened up not only to her subscribers but also her best friend about her struggle with eating disorders. Her story is so relatable. It involves a relationship, self-esteem and shutting out everyone with whom she was close to hide her disease. There are many reasons she did the video but one of the main reasons she shared her story is because of her subscribers. Niki feels it is important to be honest with them. Her vulnerability is touching and her story is one so many have dealt with.

Fancy Vlogs By Gab

Gabi DeMartino is Niki's sister, musical partner and social media bestie. They love creating videos and making posts together, including the one where they wore their boyfriend's clothes for a week. Adorable. Gabi may have gotten her start on social media for her crazy, silly posts with her twin, but now she is gaining attention for being relatable and real. Last year she posted a vlog titled I Finally Have The Guts To Upload This. You know with a title like that she is going to be showing her vulnerable side. There is a disclaimer before the video begins where she says the video is not for pity but to help others. She also writes how hard it was for her to be this open and would appreciate no judgment, you go girl! The video is not even 10 minutes long but her story is one all young women should listen to and one many older women have lived through.

AlishaMarie

Alisha is a 25-year-old who keeps it real with humor. She has been uploading videos since 2011 and has done everything. Pranks, girl struggles, make-up tutorials and reality vs. expectations, you name it. On top of her YouTube channel where she uploads all of these crazy videos, she also has a vlog channel. And as you can imagine, managing two channels and finding ways to constantly come up with unique content that one can be proud of is a challenge. In May of 2018, Alisha posted a video titled This Isn't Goodbye... In the video, she shared her struggle with keeping up and creating wonderful videos. She got extremely candid and allowed herself to express all of her feelings with her subscribers. We can definitely relate to her feelings of "burn out", and her honesty in this video is inspiring.

MyLifeAsEva

Eva Gutowski has one of the fastest growing channels on YouTube. She is friends with Alisha Marie, so it comes as no surprise humor is also key for Eva. However, just because she is funny does not mean she isn't keeping it real. In fact, she has an entire section of videos devoted to surviving high school. One of her videos posted this past March is an amazing, honest session of her talking, titled Talking About It. The title sums up her conversation, but it is so relevant. Eva starts the conversation by admitting she was feeling like what she was doing in her career didn't have a purpose. A feeling oh so many of us have felt and may continue to feel. It was not only that revelation but also how she dealt with it that has her on this list. Again her happy personality is great for videos but it also makes her epitome of a person who appears to have it all but still dealing with finding herself.

We admire all of these young ladies for getting so real with their followers. They are all super brave, and all of these videos have served as excellent reminders that things are not always as they seem and that it is important to reserve judgment and just listen.

Great work ladies, we fully support you!
