Tyler Cameron Says He Has “A Lot Of Respect” For Ex-Girlfriend Gigi Hadid

Former The Bachelorette runner-up Tyler Cameron and American supermodel Gigi Hadid were first romantically linked to each other back in late July when people noticed that they each followed one another on Instagram. As this past summer went on, the pair were photographed together off and on in different situations by relentless paparazzi. Sometimes they were just hanging out; sometimes they showed off a little PDA.

Unfortunately for the couple, they eventually went their separate ways earlier on in fall. While their relationship may have ended, it doesn't sound like the two are on bad terms. As a matter of fact, during an interview that took place earlier this week, Cameron spoke about having lots of respect for Hadid despite their recent break-up.

"Just meeting someone that was great. She’s a great person, and I met a great friend. She’s someone that I have a lot of respect for and think highly of, so I met a great person," he admitted in the interview.

This is clearly high praise for Hadid from her ex-boyfriend, despite the fact that they're no longer a couple. But why did they break-up in the first place if they seem to care so much about each other? Fortunately for fans who are curious about the situation, Cameron decided to divulge what exactly led to their break-up.

"I took it as I met a great person, a great friend. It wasn’t like a bad breakup or anything like that. It was just, we’re at different parts of our lives right now," he added. Cameron then concluded with, "We’re just friends" in order to squash any possible rumours of the two of them possibly getting back together in the near future.

While this final thought on the matter may disappoint fans who wish the couple were able to stay together, what matters more is that they're each happy. If it makes both Hadid and Cameron happy to be friends instead of boyfriend and girlfriend, then fans should accept the truth of the matter and move on.
