Those attending Toronto Fashion Week this fall won’t be leaving hungry. Toronto’s fashion event of the year has decided to team up with local restaurants and bars in the Bloor-Yorkville Business Improvement Area to launch Style Plate.

Toronto Fashion Week (TFW), a semi-annual fashion week held in Toronto, Ontario, celebrates fashion, art, and culture within the city’s luxury retail and brand neighborhood, Yorkville along Hazelton Avenue and Yorkville Avenue.

From September 4 to 6, chefs and mixologists from participating restaurants will be matched with select designers to create a signature dish or cocktail inspired by the designer’s collections, which will be shown at Toronto Fashion Week.

Cibo Wine Bar, for example, was inspired by HENDRIXROE’s new collection to present lemon seared Bay scallops over creamy beet risotto with pea drops, which will be served with a sparkling gin and St-Germain cocktail spiked with Contratto.

According to Planta, "Inspired by the eco-friendly denim brand, Triarchy, Planta’s team brings a refreshing Chopped Salad cocktail to the table. Made with celery, gin, mint, basil, and lime, this green mix will fuel guests up for the eventful week."

Mark McEwan’s ONE restaurant, on the other hand, was inspired by Christopher Bates’ new collection to create a Canadian-Italian dish featuring PEI Beef Carpaccio accompanied by a Rossetto Martini made with raspberry-infused vodka. Patrons will also get 25% off of Toronto Fashion Week Shows and Talks with the special promo code offered at the restaurant.

Meanwhile, Trattoria Nervosa, says, "Experience the wonderfully spicy and nutty Moda, prepared with rosemary vodka, fresh ginger and lemon juice, topped with ginger ale and a hint of nutmeg and ginger liquor, which takes inspiration from Hilary MacMillan’s upcoming bold collection. Toronto Fashion Week ticket holders will also be treated to a glass of prosecco upon arrival."

Kasa Moto, a two-story contemporary Japanese restaurant and lounge in the heart of Yorkville will showcase cocktail selections inspired by Tara Rivas’ latest collection. Guests can savor the sweet and refreshing flavors of Tequila and Wine made with Tromba Blanco, Fino Sherry, blueberry, basil, and lime, as well as Be There in a Prosecco, featuring vodka, Crème de Violette, Passion Fruit puree, vanilla apple, lime and a prosecco float.
