Entertainment back in 2007, we’ve been obsessed with the lives of Kim, Khloe, Kourtney, Kris, and company. Especially the lives of the two youngest Jenners – Kendall and Kylie. They were mere tots when the show first aired and it seems like the entire world watched them grow up into amazing, successful, and beautiful women.

When we were first introduced to the stunning Miss Kylie Jenner, she was a young thing who was all of 10-years-old and attempting to figure out the world of fame at such a young age. Both she and older sister Kendall were new to the world that their older sisters had briefly touched. Suddenly, they were thrust into the world of reality television and seemingly, every move they made was documented by a camera crew. But from their first episode onward, they seemed not only comfortable in front of the Kodachrome of a camera but rather enjoyed it immensely. From that day forward, it seemed like Kylie had made peace with the camera and not only that but made herself at home in front of it.
Today, Kylie has used her position in the Kardashian family for good and seems to be standing on top of the make-up line world.
While the paparazzi is basically obsessed with her, Kylie has turned around and has profited from the clicks of their cameras with each selfie she takes and each Snapchat video she makes.

Recently, Kylie let us into her vacation/beach life world and put us all to shame (and, yes, of course, we were way jealous). Only a few short months after she introduced the world to Stormi, Kylie, who had taken a “semi” break from social media (something none of her fans were used to) finally graced the public with her presence again, but this time with pictures of not only her, but of her and the newest addition to the Kardashian/Jenner clan. After everything that she went through during her pregnancy (well, hiding it from the general public, that is), she really did need to take some time for herself and her family. And what better way to do that than to whisk away to some far away island where you’re able to walk the beach in bathing suits and no-makeup and show off your “bod-after-baby” body to the world?
Kylie looks like she’s enjoying being in the sun and being carefree for a little bit while she decompresses from the rest of the world and just enjoys new motherhood for the first time in her life. Though we have to ask, you think her sisters are on hand to help her out and give her advice when little Stormi wakes up crying in her island paradise? 18 Has She Finally Found Her Forever True Love?
Okay, yes, we’ll all admit that Kylie’s love life has been a rather rocky one. Heck, any love life would be rocky if you were attempting to maintain it in front of the entire world and a bunch of cameras documenting your every move. This seems to have been especially hard for Kylie, who, at a very young age, fell in love with a man who was much older than her while she was in her teens. Of course, we’re talking about rapper Tyga, who was 24 when he supposedly got into a relationship with Kylie when she was just 16-years-old. Of course, the two never confirmed anything until she was 18-years-old, but pretty much everyone knew.
After their breakup, Kylie managed to find love with Travis Scott. The relationship was still seemingly in the honeymoon stages when word started getting around that perhaps Kylie was pregnant. Of course, this wasn’t confirmed, so her fans just had to speculate and put a microscope to pictures that the paparazzi would catch of Kylie going out to get a smoothie or making a trip to a scheduled photo shoot. As we all know, she was keeping her pregnancy a secret – one of the best-kept secrets of 2017.
17 A Little "Me" Time
Of course, we all would like to have a little “me-time” shortly after giving birth, but a lot of the time we can’t on the count of the crying newborn that has recently entered our lives. But not Kylie. She’ll just take the crying newborn with her to the Amanyara resort, where she and baby Stormi went to celebrate Travis Scott’s birthday (and, of course, Scott was there too).
People Magazine reported that the resort was one of Kylie’s go-to destinations. “In addition to the accommodations, which include a collection of multi-room villas overlooking private swimming pools, the eco-centric property also offers unique experiences like a turtle-tagging excursion that helps protect the local wildlife,” People explains.
According to the site, guest pavilions start at $1,800 per night, which we all know Kylie can afford.
“Our resorts are all about privacy, peace, and intimacy. Amanyara is truly a secluded haven embracing the untrammeled elements of the Caribbean.”
Kylie had also celebrated her 19th birthday in the Caribbean country when she rented out a private compound for herself and a group of friends (along with big sister Kendall). And only a few short weeks before Kylie and her little family set up camp there, Kim and Kourtney vacationed in the same spot.
16 Motherhood With A Side Of Stormi
This has to be one of our favorite pictures of both Kylie and Stormi – the happiness that seems to radiate from both their faces is so beautifully endearing and wonderful. It’s also incredibly contagious as well to anyone who glances at the picture. But, yet, as any new mother will tell you, there are plenty of challenges that hide behind the smiles. Recently, Kylie spoke with her sister Kim (who is also a mother of three) about being a new mother and the challenges she faces. “It’s actually been the opposite for me,” Kylie said to Kim when the latter was explaining that the early stages of motherhood are challenging. “I feel like it’s just been so amazing and so much fun. I’m learning so much more about myself and life, and it’s been such a great experience.”
“Of course there’s hard times and stuff… even in the beginning, just not sleeping, the nights, like, baby blues… and all the ups and downs,” Kylie later admitted. “And also even when I’m here it was so hard to leave this morning. I’m like, ‘I’ll be right back, I’m so sorry I have to leave!’ and she doesn’t even know what’s going on. I think about her all the time, anywhere I am. I would rather be with her or wish she can come everywhere. I can’t wait till she can come everywhere with me, because right when she’s old enough I’ll bring her everywhere.”

We all know that Kylie is basically the Queen of all things cosmetic, seemingly nabbing that crown from sis Kim, who also has her own cosmetic line. When Interview asked who Kylie Jenner really is and what she’d rather be doing, she gave a surprising response. “I would probably just never dress up,” she told the magazine.
“I would never wear makeup because I honestly hate wearing makeup. Lately, I’ve just been so over it. I feel like I’m way too young to wear such heavy makeup all the time. It’s just bad for your skin, but I’m always doing photo shoots or red carpets and events, so I just obviously want to look good. I used to do a lot of hiking when I wasn’t as busy. I had a lot of anxiety when I was younger, so I would just run to this hill path in the back of my mom’s house and listen to Jack Johnson. I would listen to Jack Johnson and stare at the sky until my anxiety went away.”
14 The Snapchat Princess
Kylie is undoubtedly the ruler of all social media (another crown she nabbed from sis Kim), especially when it comes to Instagram and Snapchat. Fans enjoy following her glamorous lifestyle and seeing her flawless selfies posted. But truth be told, that’s not really who Kylie is according to Kylie. “There is absolutely a side of me that people don’t know,” Kylie explained to Interview. “I’m not myself on Snapchat or Instagram. That’s totally not me. I’m way flashier on Instagram and Snapchat because I feel like that’s what people want to see and that’s what I’ve always done, so I’m not going to stop. People want to see my cars and my purses. People love fashion. But that’s so not me.”
Recently, thanks to Stormi and Travis, we’ve been able to experience the “non-flashy” side of Kylie with all her beautiful natural-faced selfies and baby shots. Of course, we’re allowed a glimpse into her private life while vacationing on a private island resort (which, we will admit is pretty flashy, even if she does look all relaxed and at ease) so we can get our “Kylie Fix” as she spends time with her young family. It appears that she’s finally living for herself, and not for Snapchat.
13 Giving Fans What They Want
The youngest Jenner has always been known to engage with her fans across all social media boards, which is why they adore her so. She shows them aspects of her beauty processes on Snapchat and Instagram and even does beauty tutorials for them to explain her own very intricate process. Of course, that’s amazing, but one thing Kylie is taking away from her fans is that the older she gets, the more they separate her from the rest of the Kardashian clan. “I just really want to be a businesswoman,” the entrepreneur explained in Interview magazine a few years back. “The app was really my thing and I worked really hard on it. And now I’m coming out with a lip kit and I’m just trying to do a lot of things on my own, so I feel like people are starting to recognize me as an individual.”
Kylie then went on to explain that she’d eventually like to start up more businesses before going off the grid in a few years. “When I’m like, 30, I want to go off the map, have a family, and live in Malibu with a farm, and just raise my own chickens.”
That’s a huge leap from who she is now, but it’s a dream we’d like to see come true for her (and hopefully get some amazing chicken Snapchats every now and then when she reappears on the map).
12 Always A Cover Girl In Her Natural Habitat
Back when she was around 18-years-old, Kylie did the unexpected and appeared in Vogue looking very fresh-faced and light alongside Bella Hadid and Lottie Moss, “Kylie ditches the heavy makeup and dons a super feminine pink floral wrap dress by TiMo for the lovely photo shoot, wearing her hair in a demure updo,” the magazine says.
“I wouldn’t be who I am today if it weren’t for all my sisters,” Kylie explains to Vogue in a candid interview with the two other models. While Kylie had previously been on the cover of Teen Vogue, she seemed to be thrilled to be featured in the classic. Back during that interview, Kylie mentioned that she wanted to eventually be a mother… in 10 years. “When I look to the far future and decide to have kids, I need to have a million girls. 10 years from now – in 2025 – I hope to have a kid.” Well, it didn’t really take 10 years now, did it? It took a mere three years for Kylie to embrace motherhood – and boy are we glad she did (and we’re pretty sure she’s okay with it too). Here’s hoping motherhood doesn’t change her TOO much, but we know that the changes she does make will be worth it.
11 Sunkissed And Not Ashamed To Show It
I remember when I was little, I had a face covered with freckles and I’ll tell you, I absolutely hated them. When I was finally able to wear makeup, I was thrilled that I got to cover them up and have the smooth look I always wanted. But as I got older, my freckles started to fade and I realized that I missed them terribly since they gave me a youthful appearance. You know whose freckles haven’t yet faded? Kylie’s. Though, she seems to always cover them up (ugh, WHY???). But recently, Kylie’s been embracing her sun-kissed face with posts on her Instagram feed and her Snapchats.
“When everyone’s drawing on freckles and you’re always covering yours,” she captioned under a photo of her bare-face on Instagram.
It seems like the older Kylie gets, the more comfortable she becomes in her own skin, which is amazing for us because we get to see her natural beauty shine through on more occasions. Sure, we love when she’s all dolled up and more often want to steal whatever new look she’s embracing at the time, but we really do prefer her in her natural state. And maybe we’ll now be seeing more of it since she’s taking on motherhood, which leaves barely any time to put on makeup let alone even think about putting on makeup.
10 Youngsters Goofing Around
Kylie has faced her fair share of critics when it comes to her looks. Sure, she doesn’t look the same as she did when she was younger thanks to the help of some great LA doctors (she has since admitted to having lip fillers). Back when she was a mere child, Kylie sported her natural jet-black hair that seemed to compliment her light-brown gaze. Sure, back then she even sported around her freckles on the red carpet whenever she accompanied her sisters and parents somewhere. Heck, she even sported bangs for a period (thank god she grew out of that phase). Even back then, Kylie knew to play up her eye makeup where her peepers seemed to strike down anyone who looked in her general direction (they still do to this day).
It was around the age of 13 where Kylie started playing with her personal style a little more and attempted to be more daring when it came to her makeup (that’s when the faux lashes came into play). It was around 2014 when Kylie started experimenting more with her hair and sported very different styles to different red carpet functions that year. One month she had sported minimal makeup and a short hairdo – the next she was experimenting with hardcore contouring and to-die-for blue hair.
9 Don't Fear The Spotlight
If Kylie Jenner knows one thing, it’s about growing up in the public eye, something she didn’t always seem to really embrace. “When I was like 10, 11, 12, I had a really hard time with the media,” Kylie told Cosmopolitan magazine. “During your adolescence, girls deal with their peers at school, then they go home and they don’t have to deal with it [there]. It was a lot more haters to deal with… especially since I was younger and my sisters were so beautiful and had it all together. I can have my moments and say that I don’t want this life anymore, but I wouldn’t trade it for the world. The good is definitely worth the bad.”
Of course, Kylie dealt with a lot of slack when it came to her lips, something she had always been insecure about ever since a boy said out loud that she must be a bad kisser due to her thin lips to her, which stuck with her.
She kept silent about it for a long time and when the media noticed her growing lips, she said that she was just over-lining with lipstick and lip liner. But after the “Kylie Jenner Lip Challenge” went viral, Kylie admitted to getting lip fillers to increase her lip size.
8 Freckle-Faced Queen
Even though a lot of people think that Kylie looks best when she dons the natural look, we really do enjoy the fact that her makeup kits are flying off the shelves. “I’ve been so surprised,” Kylie told Glamour regarding her cosmetic lines. “I didn’t think my Lip Kit would be as huge as it is now – and the fact that people can’t get it is crazy. But my goal wasn’t to always have to sell out: I want girls to be able to get it as easily as possible. It's just that no matter how much we make, it sells out even faster every time.”
In the same interview, Kylie talked about how she doesn’t like to label herself as a ‘role model’ for young women, but rather as an ‘inspiration’ to young women around the globe. “And I do feel like I inspire them – because I’m always changing up my look and experimenting. So, one week I’ll be really glam and girlie, and the next, a punk with blue hair. I see a lot of girls following my trends and because they’re experimenting, becoming more comfortable in their own skin.” We have to agree with Kylie there – she really is an inspiration to not just young girls, but to women all over.
7 Getting Wiggy With It
We’re all used to seeing Kylie Jenner with wigs (at one point, she even stated in an interview that she started the wig trend). They’ve been wild (like bright blue or hot pink) to subtle (when she wears a wig that matches her own natural hair color of black). The thing we’re not used to seeing though is her hair in its natural state, which she showed off on Snapchat one evening. “With most of her hair pulled into a tiny bun at the crown of her head, the star posted a series of Snapchats, in which she announced, “My hair is just so crazy,” and played with the short, piece-y strands that frame her forehead,” People magazine observed.
The young star pointed out that she still had her baby hairs, something her sisters opted to laser out when they got older.
Kim Kardashian famously explained that she had her baby hairs removed with laser treatments. “I thought I looked better without the baby hairs, but now I miss them. I think they look youthful! So, ladies, you can always laser your hairline, but I miss mine,” the older Kardashian explained, which makes us all think that maybe she had some influence in Kylie keeping her own baby hairs.
6 Natural Looker With The Natural Lighting
No matter what, Kylie seems to always take the absolute perfect selfie. She seems to find the perfect lighting in the perfect location every single time. A while back, Kylie did a tutorial on how to take the perfect selfie in a step-by-step process. She explained that she tends to take a selfie around the same time every day (4:45 pm, to be exact), which is known as the “magic hour” when it comes to lighting. She then sets up an angle that suits her best, and for Kylie, that appears to be her left side while pouting her lips a little bit. You have to be warned that this probably can’t be perfected without the help of an Instagram manager, which Kylie does actually have in her arsenal. When she was doing the video (which featured sister Khloe, who actually appeared to be a little dumbstruck on how precise Kylie happened to be when it comes to her selfies) she goes into great detail so her followers understand the process to a tee. Khloe was even shocked by how many selfies were actually on her sister’s phone, which proves that she goes through A LOT of pictures before she’s able to capture the perfect one.
5 Up Close And Personal
Yes, we know Kylie thanks to selfies and her makeup line, but she does a lot more for the community and also her followers and fans. She actually launched an anti-bullying Instagram campaign where she encourages victims of bullying – both online and in real life – to help out other victims. “I wasn’t bullied at school, because I went to a really small private school where I knew everyone,” she explained to Glamour magazine a few years back. “No – it was social media that inspired me to start the campaign.” She would point out that she was commonly harassed by people who would hide behind the false security of their own keyboards.
“I’ve literally been dealing with it all my life. But the good thing is that now I can get over it super fast. If it does affect me, it’ll be for one minute and then it’s behind me – and I only rarely respond.”
It usually does take a lot for Kylie to respond to her haters, but when she does, it’s usually with a short quip that has a sense of comedy attached to it. “I just don’t understand why people do it,” she says. “I guess people are just sad and insecure. But dealing with it all has only made me stronger.”
4 Going The Artsy Route
Regardless of how beautiful the Kardashian/Jenner selfies tend to be, you’ll always have people chiming in that they think they photoshop their images. Kylie tends to shut down these particular online trolls by posting a video of herself in the same outfit, proving that she doesn’t alter her image in any way in the photographs. Thing is, while everyone likes to scream “Fail!” whenever she posts a new photo of herself, some people like to photoshop her photos THEMSELVES.
This happened to be the case when she was attempting to hide her pregnancy from the world for privacy reasons. When she was photographed boarding a plane with her sisters, someone decided to actually photoshop a baby bump on Kylie in the photo that quickly spread across the internet like wildfire.
“First of all if you’re going to photoshop my photos blogs/paps!! Check for the crooked lines in the background. The 2nd photo is clearly altered” she tweeted out. It appears that some people just have way too much time on their hands. This goes with those trolls who like to go over every one of Kylie’s photos with a magnifying glass in order to attempt to call out “photoshop fail” every two seconds.
3 The Camera Is In Love With Her
Let’s be honest with ourselves: have you really ever seen a bad picture of Kylie? Even in the tabloids, Kylie always manages to look seriously on-point every single time. Even though she was raised in the public eye, she never really saw herself getting to the point of fame that she’s now wading in. “When I was younger, I used to think about my sister’s name, Kim,” Kylie told Complex in a 2016 interview.
“Growing up with her, I always knew her name but now everybody else knows it too. That’s so crazy! It feels different when you say it now: Kim Kardashian. Now, I feel like that when I say my name. Kylie Jenner. Everyone knows my name too.”
But as Complex pointed out, Kylie built her fame and empire up in a surprisingly different way. She used her fame and name to jump-start her own cosmetic empire. “It’s definitely easier for me than for most people,” she said. “There are so many doors that I’ve walked through.” She does admit that while, yes, her name has opened up a lot of doors, it always comes with drawbacks. “I’m happy. But everything that comes with it – the paparazzi and not being able to do normal things? I’ve been famous for what feels like my whole life. I just want to know what it feels like not to be.”
2 The Strong Sister Bond
If you’re a fan of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, you know that both Kylie and Kendall have a serious bond. They were the youngest of the Kardashian clan and are very close in age, so they were thrown together all the time. And that bond has only gotten stronger the older they’ve gotten (despite what the media likes to say). Kendall, in an interview with Vogue, addressed her relationship with Kylie now that she has a baby. “It’s not that it’s more exciting than any other births in the family – it’s different exciting because she’s my baby sister who I grew up with,” Kendall said of Stormi’s birth. “We all grew up in twos: Kourtney and Kim grew up together; Rob and Khloe; Brandon and Brody; Burton and Casey, and then Kylie and I.” But does she think that having a baby will push the two apart?
“To see my best friend growing up to have a baby? It’s already made us even closer.” Kendall even took time out to say that most people hate on her family because it’s now considered “cool” in some circles. “It’s almost, like, trendy to hate on my family. It’s not so much that people actually believe that we suck, but it became a thing: If you hate on us, it’s cool or something.”
1 So Fresh And So Clean
One thing is for sure: Kylie Jenner is here for the long run (even though she says that she eventually wants to go off and raise chickens in Malibu by 30). Though a lot of people have different opinions on how Kylie could use her influence on the younger generations. After Snapchat changed its format, Kylie took to Twitter to announce her disdain at the new format.
“Sooo does anyone else not open Snapchat anymore? Or is it just me… ugh, this is so sad,” she tweeted. Just that single tweet ended up costing Snapchat $1.3 billion in market value IN A SINGLE DAY.
It’s clear that Jenner is one major influence and that she should use that influence for good, much like her anti-bullying campaign. The thing is, she didn’t really mean to burn Snapchat, she was just voicing how much she couldn’t stand the new format (which is actually extremely confusing, to be honest). Even Change.org had a petition going around, calling for the company to remove the update to the app which got more than 1.2 million signatures. It has to be hard to maintain that sort of power, but Kylie looks to wield it pretty well (despite what naysayers are saying). And just think about it – her influence is growing every day.
