The Kardashian Jenners stunned at the red carpet of the 2019 Met Gala, which is the most fashionable and fashion-forward event of the year. This year's theme was 'Camp: Notes on Fashion', and is inspired by Susan Sontag's essay from 1964 in which she defines camp fashion as humorous, ironic or extreme. It sounds like the perfect theme for the Met Gala, and who could be better hosts for the extravagant event than Lady Gaga and Harry Styles? Both are known for pushing the boat out when it comes to their fashion choices, so this theme should be right up their alley.
Kim Kardashian wore a skin-tight, nude-colored latex dress covered in droplets, and with her hair styled in a wet-look, the reality star looked as if she had just emerged out of water. Speaking of water, Kylie Jenner channeled her inner mermaid with long, lavender hair and a matching form-fitting mermaid style gown with feathered sleeves and train. Kendall had also gone all out with the feathers, but her dress was fiery orange. The Victoria's Secret model explained how she and Kylie had come up with their looks together with Donatella Versace, who famously dressed Kim in a revealing golden gown for last year's Met Gala.
As reported by ET Online, Kylie wore a dress designed by Alexander Wang at 2018's Met Gala, which was only three months after she gave birth to her and Travis' first child Stormi. Kendall wore a white off-the-shoulder top with gloves and matching wide pants by Off-White, which some people thought was a very similar look to Kim's 2017 Met Gala outfit.
Before this year's Met Gala, Kim took to her Instagram Story to share all the looks she has worn to the Met since her first time there in 2013. The KKW Beauty owner left a comment on each outfit about how she felt today about the styling and how she had felt at each event. Her first time there she said she was so nervous as she was invited as Kanye's plus one and did not know anyone there and that no one wanted her to be there.
When it comes to serving looks, the Kardashian Jenners tend to deliver, and they did not disappoint with their takes on this year's Met Gala theme Camp.
