The Cast Of 7th Heaven: Where Are They Now

7th Heaven, which was on the air from 1996 to 2007, was a popular drama series all about the Camden family. They lived in the made-up Glenoak, California, where the father of the family was a preacher.

Originally, there were five kids, but then twins joined the family, and over the years, lots of other people lived in this household, too! From troubled youths and friends to husbands, wives, and grandkids, this family unit was very inviting and accepting.

For years, fans watched these characters go through ups and downs of life, and now, we wonder… What are the actors and actresses up to these days? Have any been in other shows and films we have seen? Are any of them not acting anymore? Do they do notable work besides appearing on the screens of our homes? Do any of them have children of their own now?

Of course, some big names like Jessica Biel starred in this series, but many of these people have gone on to do some really cool things in life, too.

Let’s find out all of the details, right here and right now, as we go through the cast of 7th Heaven—where are they now?

20 Barry Watson As Matt Camden

Barry Watson played Matt Camden, and after the sixth season, he was no longer a full-time regular; he guest starred until the tenth season and even wrote an episode! In 1999, Watson was in his first feature film, Teaching Mrs. Tingle. On ABC, he appeared in What About Brian, Samantha Who?, and My Future Boyfriend, and he was also seen on TV shows such as Gossip Girl and Hart of Dixie.

In 2002, Watson was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma, though he is now in remission. He is also on his third marriage and he has two sons, Oliver and Felix, with high school classmate and reality television personality Tracy Hutson, and a daughter, Clover Clementyne, with Natasha Gregson Wagner, daughter of actress Natalie Wood. He and Wagner were married on December 21, 2014.

19 Jessica Biel As Mary Camden

In 1998, Jessica Biel took a break from portraying Mary Camden to be in I'll Be Home for Christmas. After that, she went on to appear in everything from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and The Illusionist to I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry, Valentine's Day, and New Year's Eve. Biel has also moved behind the camera now, as she is the executive producer of The Sinner, which debuted on USA Network in 2017. She also played the main character in Season 1.

And after dating her 7th Heaven castmate Adam LaVorgna and dating actor Chris Evans, she started a relationship with Justin Timberlake in 2007. They got engaged in 2011, married in 2012, and had a son, Silas, in 2015.

18 Beverley Mitchell As Lucy Camden

Beverley Mitchell is best known as Lucy Camden, though she had a small part in The Amanda Show, was in the Disney Channel original movie Right on Track, joined the cast of The Secret Life of the American Teenager, and appeared in Saw 2. Besides acting, Mitchell was also interested in country music, and in 2006, she recorded her debut album, Beverley Mitchell, in Nashville, Tennessee. She is also part of Pop Hollywood Darlings, along with Jodie Sweetin of Full House and Christine Lakin of Step by Step.

On New Year's Eve 2005, Mitchell got engaged to her long-time boyfriend, Michael Cameron. They were married in Italy in 2008, and Jessica Biel and Mackenzie Rosman were bridesmaids. The couple welcomed daughter Kenzie in 2013 and son Hutton in 2015.

17 David Gallagher As Simon Camden

During hiatuses from playing Simon Camden, David Gallagher filmed flicks like the direct-to-video Richie Rich's Christmas Wish, and then in 2003, he left the show to attend college yet returned part-time during Season 9 and Season 10—which was thought to be the last season.

When The CW picked up the show for Season 11, David did not renew his contract. In 2005, he starred in and co-produced a low-budget adaptation of The Picture of Dorian Gray. Gallagher has also had guest roles on Numb3rs, CSI: Miami, Saving Grace, Bones, Without a Trace, and The Deep End, and he voiced Riku in the Kingdom Hearts video game franchise.

16 Mackenzie Rosman As Ruthie Camden

Mackenzie Rosman played Ruthie Camden. She was in an independent film called Gideon, has been in commercials for brands like Nike, was in a movie called The Tomb based on the works of H. P. Lovecraft, and one called Fading of the Cries. She appeared in a couple of episodes of The Secret Life of the American Teenager and also posed for Maxim in 2013.

Rosman is also a supporter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the national honorary chairman for CureFinders, a program that helps fund the search for a cure for cystic fibrosis, as her late stepsister, Katelyn Salmont, lived with cystic fibrosis.

15 Lorenzo Brino As Sam Camden

Lorenzo Brino was born in 1998, meaning the child who played Sam Camden is now 20 years old! Yes, after the original five kids were around (making the “seven” be the children and the parents), twins popped up on the show (making all of the kiddos the referenced seven).

According to his IMDb page, 7th Heaven is Lorenzo's only acting credit. On that website, some other interesting details can be found: Brino is not just a twin—he is a quadruplet (though none of them are identical)! There is also Myrinda Brino, Zachary Brino and Nikolas Brino, which brings up the next point...

14 Nikolas Brino As David Camden

Nikolas Brino was also born in 1998, so he is also 20. While his brother played Sam, he played David Camden. As mentioned above, there are two more people that make up this set of quadruplets—Zachary Brino and Myrinda Brino—and these two siblings actually helped play Sam and David Camden in 7th Heaven from 1999 to 2001.

Zachary also even played Sam later on, in an episode called "Hot Pants." After awhile, though, it seemed that Nikolas and Lorenzo were best suited for playing these on-screen twin brothers on this hit television series. It appears that acting once was enough for them, though.

13 Catherine Hicks As Annie Camden

Since portraying Annie Camden, Catherine Hicks has gone on to appear in films on Hallmark and Lifetime and in several plays like Why Torture is Wrong and the People Who Love Them in 2010, for which she received positive reviews. There was a Showtime documentary in 2015, which was titled That Gal... Who Was in That Thing, and Hicks was one of the eight actresses in it.

She is also a practicing Roman Catholic, has been in national public service announcements for Catholic Relief Services, and received the 2006 Padre Pio Award from the Capuchin Franciscan Friars for her efforts.

12 Stephen Collins As Eric Camden

IGN Africa

Besides being Eric Camden, Stephen Collins was in movies like The First Wives Club, Because I Said So, and All the President's Men and in TV shows like The Office, Revolution, The Fosters, and Devious Maids. He was married to Faye Grant for nearly 30 years, and together, they have a daughter named Kate.

In 2014, an investigation involving Collins began due to an audio tape being leaked that had a voice that sounded like his admitting to some hefty allegations. In an interview with People magazine, Collins admitted that he had committed some crimes in 1973, 1982, and 1994.

11 Andrew Keegan As Wilson West

Entertainment Tonight

The Camdens have been covered, so it’s time to move on to people like Andrew Keegan as Wilson West. In one year, Keegan was cast in both Party of Five and in 7th Heaven. After that, he appeared in flicks such as 10 Things I Hate About You. He also had a daughter, Aiya Rose, in 2016. In 2014, he founded Full Circle in Venice Beach, California. Keegan described the group as a "non-denominational spiritual community center where people of all beliefs and backgrounds come together to meditate, practice yoga, and engage artistically."

However, the next year, Full Circle was raided by Californian Alcohol Beverage Control officers, due to the distribution of kombucha, which they didn’t know they needed a license to distribute. The organization closed down for good in 2017.

10 Adam LaVorgna As Robbie Palmer

Another relationship of Mary’s seen on the show was the one with Robbie Palmer, who was portrayed by Adam LaVorgna. LaVorgna attended high school in Connecticut and was also enrolled at Boston College prior to leaving the school after his freshman year to pursue acting.

He left 7th Heaven in 2002 (due to struggling with getting around Hollywood and missing his family), and he received his bachelor's degree in 2011. LaVorgna has been seen in movies like I'll Be Home for Christmas (with Jessica Biel!) and The Beautician and the Beast, and in 2018, he was on the Starz show Power.

9 George Stults As Kevin Kinkirk

George Stults auditioned to be on 7th Heaven, a show his real-life brother Geoff was already on; these two played brothers on the show, and we will get to Geoff in a bit! For now, remember that this man right here was on a police officer on this popular series, and he ended up with Lucy.

Stults was also in an episode of Friends (“The One With Joey's New Brain”), ads for Liz Claiborne's fragrance "Bora Bora", a Randy Travis music video (“Spirit of a Boy, Wisdom of a Man"), K-Mart commercials with other WB stars, and films like Night Skies and Necrosis.

8 Geoff Stults As Ben Kinkirk

In this series, Geoff Stults was Ben Kinkirk, a fireman and another guy interested in Mary. He has also been in shows like October Road, Happy Town, How I Met Your Mother, The Finder, and in films like D.E.B.S., Wedding Crashers, The Break-Up, and She's Out Of My League.

Stults was with actress and former WWE Diva Stacy Keibler until 2010 (he is now with Alana Davis, an interior designer for Kelly Wearstler Co.), and the two were part-owners of the Hollywood Fame, a 2006 expansion franchise of the American Basketball Association. He also played professional football in Austria. Oh, and he has a dog named Walter Sherman, whose name is a nod to his character on The Finder.

7 Jeremy London As Chandler Hampton

Like his co-star Andrew Keegan, Jeremy London was on both Party of Five and 7th Heaven, and here, he played Chandler Hampton, a young minister. He has an identical twin brother, too, Jason, who was in a 7th Heaven episode called "Smoking."

London was married to Melissa Cunningham for five years, and together, they have a son named Lyrik. London then married Juliet Reeves in 2014, and they have a son named Wyatt. London also appeared on Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew, as did his father and his wife at the time, Cunningham, who was also being treated for health issues.

6 Tyler Hoechlin As Martin Brewer

Tyler Hoechlin was Martin Brewer, who was just supposed to be around for two episodes yet became a recurring character. His work on other television shows includes roles in CSI: Miami, Castle and, of course, Teen Wolf and Supergirl. He was also cast in Fifty Shades Darker, though he did not appear in the finished film, but he was in Fifty Shades Freed.

Hoechlin started playing baseball at a young age, and he received a scholarship to play at Arizona State University where his team made it to the College World Series. He eventually transferred to the University of California, and he was so focused on baseball that he even declined the role of Emmett Cullen in the Twilight films. During his junior year, however, he pulled his hamstring, resulting in him pursuing acting full-time.

5 Sarah Thompson As Rose Taylor

Another significant other on this show was Sarah Thompson as Rose Taylor, who was engaged to Simon. She was not the family’s favorite, but this couple stuck together for a while and even made it to their wedding day, yet decided amicably to go their separate ways.

Besides 7th Heaven, Thompson has been on series such as Without a Trace, House, and All My Children and in flicks like A Nanny for Christmas, A Christmas Proposal, and 12 Wishes of Christmas. She has been married to actor, singer, producer, and writer Brad Kane since 2007, and they have a daughter named Lillian, as well as a second child who isn't as well documented.

4 Barret Swatek As Cheryl

Within this series, Barret Swatek was Cheryl; Matt starts dating her, even though she is Robbie's ex-girlfriend. She was not around as long as some of the other people on this list, but here is an update on this actress: people have since seen and heard her in The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Quarterlife, 10 Things I Hate About You (the series), American Dad, Awkward, 2 Broke Girls, and Yellowstone.

She used to also be a panelist on the Fox show Red Eye w/ Greg Gutfeld, and she wrote and starred in two web series as well. Clearly, she has stayed active in the industry.

3 Maureen Flannigan As Shana Sullivan

Another one of Matt’s girlfriends was Shana Sullivan, who was played by Maureen Flannigan. Matt had to try and choose between her and yet another love interest, Heather, which provided for some dramatic scenes in this popular TV show.

Her other acting credits include roles on television shows like Boston Public, ER, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and 90210. In 2010, she was in a film called Do Not Disturb, which she also co-produced. Her most recent work happened in 2011, which included three shorts, a drama film called 25 Hill, and a celebrity guest appearance on Second City This Week.

2 Carlos Ponce As Carlos Rivera

Carlos Ponce is an actor, singer, composer, and television personality who got his start on soap operas on Televisa and Telemundo. Some movies some may recognize him from are Just My Luck, Couples Retreat, Rio, Free Birds, and Ice Age: Collision Course, and some shows he has been in are Once and Again, Lipstick Jungle, and Devious Maids.

He was married to his high school sweetheart, photographer Verónica Rubio, and together, they have four children. The couple divorced in 2010, and from then until 2016, he was dating actress Ximena Duque. On 7th Heaven, he played Carlos Rivera, a former homeless person and the husband of Mary, with whom he had kids, a son named Charles and twin girls.

1 Happy As Happy

E Online

And, of course, there was one other notable character: Happy the dog, portrayed by a real dog really named Happy! She was rescued from a California dog pound by animal trainer Shawn Webber, and this was her only role.

Fans loved her on the show, and a spin-off series entitled The Happy Wanderer was even mentioned but never happened. Unfortunately, this dog passed away in 2010, at the age of 15. She lived a nice, long, famous life, and fans may want to remember her hanging out with the Camdens since this is where she seemed oh-so, well, happy.
