A trend was women in suits, on both red carpets many women are opting for pants during the long night. Other trends were sparking dresses, although this is an Oscar must, lavender and beige were also popular Spring colors.

10 Zendaya
As usual, Zendaya showed up looking stunning and picking an incredibly unique and trendy gown. This two-piece features a satin crop with an open back and collar and is matched with a long sequin skirt. She announced on her Instagram story that she did her own makeup for the event.
She switched things up for the Vanity Fair after-party with a three-piece suit, joining the parade of women in suits this award season.
9 Kristen Stewart
Kristen Stewart has really stepped up her fashion game these last few months when promoting her film, Spencer, for which she was nominated for the Oscar for Best Actress for portraying Princess Diana.
During the film promotion tour, she wore a lot of Chanel tweed and Tulle dresses, but for the Oscars, she stayed true to herself with a modern almost punk-rock take on a suit.
8 Ariana DeBose
Academy Award winner for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Anita in West Side Story, Ariana Debose looked stunning at the Oscars in a Valentine two-piece. She said in interviews that her look was fierce, and gave a nod to old Hollywood style with the color, but also comfortable.
The wide-leg pantsuit is paired with the bodice top and a luxurious shall match. DeBose is the first openly queen Afro-Latina to win in her category, she also won on the red carpet for her look.

Demi Singleton who portrayed Serena Williams in the Oscar-nominated film King Richard wore a standout gown on the red carpet. The young starlet picked a trending spring color, lavender, with beaded accents by Miu Miu.
The strapless dress with a hem falling right at her ankles is super modern and shows off the shoes.

Jada Pinkett Smith looked amazing in a stunning Jean Paul Gautier gown, with puffy ruffles, and sinched in the top to create texture. The long sleeve gown is balanced by the slit that interrupts the ruffles skirt.

At the Vanity Fair after-party, she rocked a metallic green Gucci dress with a sweetheart neckline and a mermaid cut with a fun train to twirl or spin around in. In Chastin's acceptance speech she used her platform to speak about issues pertaining to the LGBTQIA+ community.
