In a recent interview, Taylor Swift is finally officially addressing her feud with reality star Kim Kardashian, and how she dealt with the whole ordeal. In honor of the Look What You Made Me Do singers upcoming 30th birthday, Elle asked her to write a list of all the lessons she has learned in life so far. One of them was how to deal with someone bullying you, and it is pretty clear that Taylor is referring to the beef with the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star.
Taylor talked about social media in general, and how she has decided to turn off the comments function on her Instagram posts to relieve some of the pressure. This protects her from having to read awful mean spirited comments but also reduces the insecurities social media can create. The twenty-nine-year-old singer explained how 'someone' called her a snake on social media, which in turn made her feel as she had reached one of the lowest moments in her life. This certain someone is most likely Kim Kardashian who famously called Taylor out for being a snake back in 2016.
As reported by ET Online, Taylor talks about how it hurt her to see how many people were quick to jump onboard the online hate campaign, alluding to how people were flooding her comment section on Instagram with the snake emoji after Kim Kardashian tweeted in defence of her husband, Kanye West.
Wait it's legit National Snake Day?!?!?They have holidays for everybody, I mean everything these days! 🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍— Kim Kardashian West (@KimKardashian) July 17, 2016
For those who do not remember, Kim K called Taylor out for being a liar and a snake for having lied about not having approved Kanye's lyrics about her in his hit Famous. The KKW Beauty mogul also posted videos on her Snapchat showing conversations between Kanye and Taylor that does confirm that she was onboard with him singing about her. After being trolled on Instagram, Taylor disappeared from the limelight, but returned with a new album the following year and also reclaimed the snake reference by using a 63-foot inflatable cobra stage prop on her Reputation Stadium Tour.
According to Kim, there is no beef between the two, and although Taylor might still be waiting for an apology from Kanye's wife, it does seem as if the I Knew You Were Trouble singer has moved on too.
