Summer Fridays, the beauty brand founded by Marianna Hewitt and Lauren Gores, two lifestyle and beauty influencers with nearly a million Instagram followers combined, was launched after the two women grew tired of trying skin care products that didn’t meet their needs.

Now, the brand is launching a new face mask for overworked skin cells called appropriately Overtime. The clarifying mask uses vitamin-packed pumpkin and gentle exfoliating apricot seed powder to softly exfoliate dead skin cells for a luminous glow. With soothing oat kernel proteins and free radical-fighting antioxidants, this brightening mask guarantees the ultimate glow.

Hewitt says that there are many exfoliating face masks and products on the market, but the company wanted to create an exfoliant that was non-abrasive and could be used daily.

The company decided to call the new mask Overtime since they believe that as we work long hours so do our skin cells, which are continually shedding and renewing themselves, therefore, they wanted the name to reflect the mask's revitalizing qualities.

Overtime’s brightening mix of vitamins is intended to provide a decongesting mask. "We're saying it's the zero-inbox flow," Gores says. "You know that feeling when you get your inbox down to zero if that ever happens? The mask is meant to do that for your skin. It sheds whatever you don't want so you can make room for new things."

Hewitt and Gores recommend using Overtime with their moisturizing Jet Lag Mask, first Overtime, followed by a dose of Jet Lag. With Overtime’s pumpkin base it’s the ideal clarifying mask for fall. Jet Lag has received rave reviews on Instagram. One user wrote, "I must say I love this SO MUCH! My skin literally glows and it’s so thick. I love thick texture moisturizers and wow this is amazing! I can’t wait to get a actual size. Beautiful product."

According to Tinted founder Deepica Mutyala, who uses Jet Lag, “I love the idea of wearing a beauty mask that just stays on and then you wake up and it just feels like it just seeped into your skin. I genuinely am obsessed with this as my night moisturizer, mask, and cream.”

To use Overtime, apply a thick layer to clean, dry skin and using your fingertip massage the mask in circular motions for 60 seconds, avoiding contact with your eye. Let sit for 10 minutes, wash off with warm water and pat your face dry. Overtime can be used twice a week.

It will be available in October @cultbeauty and in-store at Sephora in the near future.
