The upcoming royal wedding that has hearts fluttering is just months away. Though Meghan Markle is not just any ordinary bride, she has not escaped the mindset of brides everywhere that are facing an aisle to walk down in a short amount of time. IT'S WORKOUT CRUNCH TIME!
Meghan doesn't have to stress too much, as she is already in tip-top shape. But, it is normal for brides of all shapes and sizes to whip up a last minute workout routine. The workout is not only to make sure they sizzle in white on their wedding day, but to banish any wedding jitters away.
This busy gal has already established a workout routine that isn't all that tortorous and seems to have amazing results. The proof is Meghan herself.
Meghan's first workout rule - Invest in yourself:
"I give myself the luxury of downtime," the actress said. "We are all so incredibly busy and juggling so many things but I always take an hour to just decompress, watch mindless TV, snuggle with my dogs and enjoy a glass of wine. That's all part of the investment. It's a balance."
Meghan's second workout rule - Stay motivated:
"My health, my state of mind, the feeling you have after a workout; all of this things drive me to step onto my mat or go to the gym," she said. "Sometimes the idea of working out sounds absolutely dreadful, but I always remind myself of how good it will feel afterward. Euphoric, almost!"
Meghan's third workout rule - Practice yoga:
"My mom was a yoga instructor so that practice is in my blood," Markle has said. "I love an intense vinyasa class - and even better if its blasting hip-hop and done in a dark room with candlelight. The best!"
Meghan's fourth workout rule - Meditate through exercise:
"Running has always been my form of moving meditation," she said. "I relish because it allows me to get out of my head. I also work closely with a personal trainer named Craig McNamee when I am filming Suits in Toronto."
Meghan's fifth workout rule - Drinking green juices:
"I think trying to go for coffee or things like that only end up hurting you in the end," Markle said. "So [I like] to get a really good natural source of energy like a great green juice. Something that just gets right into your system is a nice pick-me-up."
Meghan's sixth workout rule - Home cooking:
"I love to cook, so every day I'm cooking something," she said once. "Even if it's just making a pesto that I can put in the fridge for later in the week or any little component that you feel like you can take some pride in I think is really important versus going out to eat, for me."
Meghan's seventh workout rule - Avoiding foods that make her feel sluggish:
"I definitely try to eat as clean as possible," Markle told Shape magazine. "I definitely just try to avoid the things that I know are going to make me feel lethargic or sluggish. I eat mostly just fish and veggies - but I am also a foodie."
Following her seven workout routine rules could be great for brides-to-be, or ALL women for that matter. Everyone can benefit from her healthy regimen.
