It's not often that the worlds of beauty and science-fiction collide, but they certainly did recently as Storybook Cosmetics announced that they would be releasing a line of makeup brushes modeled after the iconic Star Wars lightsabers.
Storybook Cosmetics has long been known for creating ultra-creative makeup and tools, including a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory themed eyeshadow palette and brushes that are shaped like Wizard Wands™. The colors in their shadows look mega-pigmented, and the brushes are crafted with intense, beautiful detail.

The company announced that their latest brush set would be available for pre-sale soon, and to keep checking their Instagram page for more information. This announcement was posted on May 4th, ultra timely for Star Wars fans, because (duh) "May the fourth be with you!".
Looking at the image posted on Instagram (perhaps from a galaxy far, far away), fans can see that the brush set includes 5 pieces, each shaped like a different lightsaber. From Kylo Ren's iconic red saber, to Anakin (and Luke and Rey's) blue laser sword, you'll feel like a true Jedi applying your makeup with these babies. Each of the brushes can be used to apply eyeshadow, and fight the Sith Order (or join them, we don't judge!).
The collection also features a purple lightsaber belonging to Mace Windu, and Darth Vader's classic evil red saber. The fifth brush is a green lightsaber, which may belong to Luke, but it may also be modeled after Yoda's weapon. We will have to wait and see to figure out who it truly belongs to!
The Star Wars theme was originally unveiled in October of 2017 on Storybook Cosmetics' Instagram page, but at that time, there was no information as to what sort of products would appear in the collection. Perhaps the brushes are not the only item that the company is planning. Can we expect a Star Wars themed eyeshadow palette or set of lipsticks? We're waiting with bated breath to find out!
