When it comes to marriages over in Hollywood, it is a well-known fact that most are short-lived either due to clashing egos, the distance due to travelling for work constantly or because one of the members wasn’t faithful at one point.

20  Fergie & Josh Duhamel

Before Josh Duhamel was married to Fergie, he was a huge fan of hers back in the day when she was part of the Black Eyes Peas. As Nicki Swift reports, Josh has said,

“I had a bit of a crush on [Fergie] before I ever met her.”

Fergie first caught Josh’s eye when a fellow actor showed him a music video with her dancing. Josh then told producers of the show he was on at the time that they should book the Black Eyes Pease for a performance on a future episode, which they did, and boy did Josh lay it on thick. He said two words when he met Fergie, “You’re Hot.”

The pair married in 2009 and were together for eight years. They even have a son together.

19 Patrick Dempsey & Jillian Fink

Patrick Dempsey has done many things throughout his Hollywood career, but it wasn’t until he was selected for the role of Derek Shepard on the hit ABC TV show Grey’s Anatomy that he truly made a name for himself.

Though many might not have known his previous work, Jillian Fink did, and she was a huge fan of his way before the world was.

According to Nicki Swift, it all happened in 1994 when Patrick booked a hair appointment at a LA hair salon, which was where Jillian was working as a stylist at the time. Jillian told People that a co-worker used to write down celebrity’s names in the appointment book all the time, but it was always just a funny joke. She was completely shocked when the real Patrick Dempsey walked in!

"But at the same time," she said, "I was happy because he was so cute."

Three years later, the two finally decided to make it official. The pair wed in 1999 and have had three children together.

18 Katie Holmes & Tom Cruise

When news broke that Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes were dating, there were a lot of raised eyebrows due to their 16-year age difference. But, way before they got together, Katie had been a huge fan of Tom.

According to Nicki Swift, Katie's previous school roommate at the Catholic school they attended told Celebuzz that Katie used to pray for Tom. "In religion class, when we were about 16, we would have to say prayers to keep a certain someone safe and out of harm," she claimed. "Katie would say it for Tom Cruise. We did that every day, so she would have said thousands of prayers for him."

The woman also claimed that Katie kept photos of Tom in her textbook and dreamed about marrying him.

Well, Katie obviously got her wish and she married Tom in 2006. Although they brought a cute little girl into the world, they ended up divorced in 2012.

17 Kelly Preston & John Travolta

John Travolta rocked the 70s, 80s and even 90s. He was a hunk on the big screen and many women had major crushes on him. Could anyone blame them though? Just watching him as Danny in Grease would make anyone fall in love with him. One fan, Kelly Preston, fell for John when she was just a teen and had seen a Grease poster, Nicki Swift reports.

"I did have sort of a flash. I came out of a film, saw the poster for 'Grease' and I knew I'd be with him,"

Preston recalled. "I just knew. I was about 16 years old. I really knew it and it turned into, 'I'm going to marry that man,' and so he likes to tease me that I walked out and said, 'I'm going to marry that man,' and then did, ultimately."

The two got married in 1991 and have been going strong since. They've even welcomed three children together.

16 Wiz Khalifa & Amber Rose

Before Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose married in 2013, they were each very big fans of one another’s work.

It was Wiz who made the first move by expressing how much he liked Amber during an interview. Amber saw the interview and made the next step by getting in touch with him. Amber told Us magazine back in 2012,

According to Nicki Swift, Kanye admired Kim for years before they got together. Kanye even admitted to his sister-in-law Khloe back in 2016 during an episode of Kocktails with Khloe that it was because of Kim that he bought his first phone! As The Daily Mail reports, Kanye said,

"I got a phone because somebody decided they wanted to marry Kris Humphries. I started sending her pictures of certain basketball players that used to be cool, that now they wear their pants all the way up to here."

The teasing obviously worked because Kim and Kris married and divorced in 2011, and Kim married Kanye started dating in 2012.

14 Steve & Marjorie Harvey

During a taping of an episode of Steve Harvey’s show, Steve opened up about the day he met the love of his life. It all happened when Steve was working at a comedy club. “The first night [Marjorie] walked into the comedy club. She was late. She came in the front row," he said, as Nicki Swift reports.

“The moment I saw her I said, 'I don't know who you are, but I'm going to marry you.”

Steve and Marjorie got married in 2007 (she's his third wife) and they have been going strong since.

13 Conan O'Brien & Liza Powel

Just like Steve Harvey, Conan O’Brien also met his future wife while filming an episode of his first show, Late Night with Conan O’Brien, back in 2000.

During an interview with Piers Morgan in 2012, Conan said, “Somewhere, in the vault at NBC, there's footage of me literally falling for my wife on camera," as The Huffington Post reports.

The minute he saw her he was enthralled by her beauty and after getting to know her, he fell deeply in love with her. She was funny, intelligent and just an all-around good person, he told Morgan.

12 Elvis & Priscilla Presley

Elvis was already a big star when he first met Priscilla. He was a big-time singer, and she was a 14-year-old fan living in Germany due to her stepfather being stationed there for the Air Force, as Nicki Swift reports.

In 1959, Elvis was drafted into the army and stationed in a German town called Bad Nauheim. After meeting Priscilla, the two future love birds remained in touch, that is until 1963 when Priscilla moved to the states to live with him. The two wed in 1967 and welcomed a daughter, Lisa Marie, in 1968 before splitting in 1973.

11 Jason Momoa & Lisa Bonet

Jason Momoa is a man thousands upon thousands of women swoon over, but it was Jason who was the fan in this love story! 

During an interview with The Late Show’s James Corden, Jason was asked if it was love at first sight when he met Lisa Bonet. His response was,

“It was more than that cause ever since I was like 8 years old and I saw her on the TV, I was like, 'Mommy, I want that one,'" he said. "I'm like, 'I'm going to stalk you for the rest of my life and I'm gonna get you."

When it comes to Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow, it is hard to tell who the bigger fan in this scenario was. Was it Chris Martin fanning over the talented actress, or was it the actress who was crazy for the talented singer? Who knows. At a Coldplay concert, Chris's assistant approached Gwyneth and asked her to meet Chris backstage, The Mirror reports.

Julia first met her second husband, cameraman Danny Moder, back in the year 2000 while on the set of the movie The Mexican. At the time, Julia was still dating actor Benjamin Bratt and Daniel was still married Vera Steimberg, so a relationship between the two was not instant.

Danny filed for divorce from his wife a year later and then married Julia on July 4, 2002 at Julia’s ranch in Taos, New Mexico. Together the two have three children together.

Jennifer Meyer, who is a jewelry designer, was trapped in Tobey Maguire’s web way before the two future lovebirds ever met.

According to the The Kiwi Report, Jennifer and Tobey first met back in 2003 while Tobey was filming the movie Seabiscuit. The talented jewelry designer was bent on meeting him and made a big effort to introduce herself to him.

When it comes to Desperate Housewives star Marcia Cross, her story on how she met her husband, stockbroker Tom Mahoney, is the most down to Earth story one will ever hear.

According to The Kiwi Report, Marcia met her future husband one day while shopping in a flower shop. The two were just walking around, Marcia in front of him, and the minute she heard his voice, she couldn’t stay away. Before leaving, she gave her number to the flower shop girl and asked her to give it to Tom. The rest is history!

The love birds married six months later and they're the proud parents of twins.
