We all know that her hips don't lie, but how does Shakira keep them looking that good? The 41-year-old mother of two looks as sensational today as she did when she burst onto our radar with Laundry Service in 2001. While it was her fifth studio album, it brought her into the English-language market with a bang - and we became obsessed with everything about the beautiful Colombian beauty. 17 years later and little has changed.

Her gorgeous figure and enviable sex appeal have been making us green for years, and now her trainer has revealed the secret lies in her diet - and we're not talking about weight loss. "It's not about losing weight!" explains Anna Kaiser, according to Pop Sugar. "It's about prepping for a huge show and making sure that her body is prepared to do that in a safe and healthy way." According to Kaiser, eating the right type of food can be as effective as working out when it comes to being in great shape. "Usually when that happens, you also lean out - but I don't want it to be about 'let's get you as thin as possible for this!' Both have to occur; she has to be in the best shape of her life, but in a way that supports what she's doing on stage, her strongest self." Anna went on to explain that she uses three main principles in Shakira's program.

Upping Shakira's protein uptake is key when she's about to undergo a gruelling tour or big shows, says Anna. Protein pancakes are her go to staple when it comes to on-the-go nutrition. "They're high fiber and high protein. They take five minutes." Mix together 1.5 tablespoons of Greek yogurt, oat bran, one egg, and a packet of stevia.

Secondly, Kaiser emphasizes choosing small and frequent meals for keeping energy levels high. Shakira often works late into the evening either performing or recording, so it's paramount that she eats little and often. "Make sure you're continuing to eat small meals throughout the day. It bumps your metabolism and it's easier to digest," insists the trainer.

Finally, it's all about combining the right foods for optimal benefit. To avoid the sluggish digestive states that come with eating, Kaiser has the singer avoid combining different macronutrients. "You want to eat just protein and vegetables or complex carbohydrates and vegetables."

Now you've got the scoop, there's nothing stopping you. Go work it, girl.
