Selena Gomez reportedly thinks a serious relationship with Justin Bieber is just too much right now.
Selena needs time for herself, and reportedly thinks being with the Biebs isn’t the best idea right now. Selena and Justin were spotted rekindling their flame shortly after Gomez split from singer TheWeeknd in October 2017.
The two were all smiles bike riding through Los Angeles earlier this year and Selena even attended a few of Justin’s hockey games and practices. The last the two were seen together was in early March arriving home from Jamaica, where they attended Justin’s dad’s wedding. Since then, the two have seemingly hit the brakes on their relationship, and are taking some time apart.
According to Cosmo, Selena and Justin are still on relatively good terms after their split, however, they both agreed that the timing just wasn’t right to have a serious relationship. A source told Entertainment Tonight, “Justin loves her [Selena] so much, but they both know a serious relationship right now is just too much to take on.” They continued by saying,“It’s been a weird few weeks for Selena. She’s tired of taking on other people’s dramas and just wants to continue focusing on herself.”
Justin was also recently spotted with Baskin Champion, who is reportedly just a “friend” to Biebs, but many are speculating that the two are a little more than just that. With the incessant drama that surrounds Justin and Selena, it seems as if Selena has had enough!
The star is taking time for her and separating herself from the swarming rumors and questions she is constantly asked from the paparazzi. The “Wolves” singer was recently stopped outside a smoothie shop in LA where paparazzi asked Selena about her relationship with Justin. Selena who politely asked the paps if, “Do you guys mind if I just have the rest of the day? Because you’re kind of scaring me,” she replied. Seems as if Selena just wants to be left alone, and we don’t blame her!
Although Selena may want to remain solo for now, we’re told that she and Justin are still “very close” and things are “not awkward” between them at all.
