Country singer Sam Hunt was arrested in Nashville for drunk driving. He was charged with driving under the influence and possession of an open container.
The 34-year-old's blood alcohol level was 0.173. The legal limit in Tennessee is .08. The "Body Like a Back Road" singer was booked by police and posted a $2,500 bond less than three hours later.
3 Getting Caught
Hunt was pulled over at 6:30 am after the local police received a call about car driving the wrong way on a northbound road.
Officers noted that Hunt smelled like alcohol and was unable to find his driver's license that was sitting in his lap. He then failed a roadside sobriety test.
2 What Happened?
According to ETOnline, Hunt was enjoying himself at The Ainsworth bar in Nashville with a large group. He was taking shots with friends and watching local bands do sets. His arrest occurred just a month after he released his first single, "Kinfolks", in over a year. An album is expected to come out in 2020
1 What Will He Do Next?
Hunt is due back in court in January 2020. He hasn't made any comments and hasn't been seen either. So what's next? We're guessing an apology and some accountability. His new album depends on it.
