Jorge Luis Flores Sanchez comes from Puerto Rico. She started performing in 1993 as Nina Flowers. She is a professional makeup artist and activist. In 1989, she was working as a Dj at Krash Klub Kafe which is one of the best and prestigious clubs in the Caribbean.

After four years, Flowers started studying to become a makeup artist and at the same time started her drag career. In her life as a drag queen, Nina has a lot of experience with performances and has even won an honorary award. In 2009, the mayor of Denver John Hickenlooper proclaimed May 29 as "Nina Flowers Day" as a day to honor her contribution to the city's LGBT community.

9 Chad Michaels

Chad Michaels was born and raised in San Diego. When he first started his career as a drag queen he went by the name Brigitte Love. Later he switched back to his given name after he signed up to perform at An Evening at La Cage in Las Vegas where it was required for the performers to use male stage names.

8 Monét X Change

Born in 1990 under the name Kevin Bertin, today she is known by her drag name Monét X Change. Besides being a drag queen, she is also a singer and a reality television personality.

One of her bigger accomplishments in her career was starring in season 10 of the show RuPaul's Drag Race and RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars where she won first place. She also won Miss Congeniality. In June 2019 she was placed amongst the top 100 Most Powerful Drag Queens in America from the New York magazine.

Born as Jacob James, this drag queen chose the name Scarlet Envy as her stage name. The name is inspired by the movie character Scarlett O'Hara that played in the 1940 film Gone with The Wind.

Scarlet was raised in Louisville, Kentucky. But later on in life, she moved to New York as she enrolled at the Fashion Institute. She is a big fan of Lady Gaga and Princess Diana. In season 9, she performed on RuPaul's Drag Race where she was one of the favorite contestants of the audience. Unfortunately, she was eliminated in episode six due to the difficulties in performing her choreography.

6 Bebe Zahara Benet

Nea Marshall Kusi Ngwa is a drag queen from Cameroon. When she was a child her family moved to France where she spent her childhood. Later on, she moved to Minneapolis where she completed her studies.

She started performing as a drag queen for the first time on a Paris fashion show where she needed to replace an absent model. Her first-ever official drag performance under the name Bebe Zahara Benet was at The Gay 90 bar in Minneapolis. In 2020, Benet is going to be the headliner at the famous Nubia tour, which is a live drag show that features black drag queens.

5 Yuhua Hamasaki

Yuhua Ou is a Chinese-American drag queen. She is famous for her drag name Yuhua Hamasaki and she is also a singer, actor, and reality television star. She moved from Guangzhou, China, to New York at the age of seven.

Besides her celebrity status, she has a business management degree from Pace University. She first started doing drag under the name Yuhua and later on, she made the decision to add the name "Hamasaki" after her idol, Ayumi Hamasaki. She made the decision to identify as non-binary which means that she uses both "he" and "she" when expressing herself.

Mimi Imfurst is the stage name of Braden Chapman, an American drag queen from Hanson, Massachusetts. Mimi had a very difficult childhood. When she was a teenager, her parents kicked her out as soon as they found out about her sexuality.

Fortunately for Mimi, a lesbian couple adopted her and supported her in her decision of pursuing a career as a drag queen. She appeared on the third season of RuPaul's Drag Race as well as RuPaul's Drag Race: All-Stars. In 2017 she became the first-ever drag queen from the U.S. to perform in Cuba with local dancers.

3 Akashia

Akashia is the drag name of Eric Flint. She is a drag queen from Cleveland, Ohio, and starred as a performer on season one of RuPaul's Drag Race. The crowd loved her for her looks, beauty, and her interesting style.

2 Brooke Lynn Hytes

Brooke Lynn Hytes is the drag name of Brock Hayhoe, a fabulous drag queen from Toronto, Canada. She is an amazing ballet dancer who practiced ballet for five consecutive years at the National Ballet School of Canada.

Brook broke the news to his close family and friends that he is gay when he was 18-year-old. She finished in second place during 11th season of RuPaul's Drag Race. Brook is the first Canadian to enter this show and to have this big of a success.

Although everybody knows her as Alaska her full fabulous drag name is Alaska Thunderfuck 5000. She was born as Justin Andrew Honard and was raised in Erie, Pennsylvania. After her graduation she started studying theater at the University of Pittsburgh. Later on, she moved to Los Angeles with the dream to become an actress.

Disappointed from the failure of her acting aspirations, she decided to turn to drag and started building her career with amazing performances in clubs. After performing on the fifth season of RuPaul's Drag Race, she was noticed from New York magazine and in June 2019 they named her one of the top 100 Most Powerful Drag Queens in America.
