This Line Of 'Riverdale' Merch Is Exclusively Available In Plus-Sizes

Plus-sized Riverdale fans are finally going to be able to get their hands on a clothing line just for them thanks to Torrid.

Who woulda thought that a teen drama inspired by a nearly 80-year-old comic strip could ever be so popular in 2018? Maybe it’s the time-bending set pieces that make the show seem like a cross between the golden age of America’s past and modern times with cell-phones and wifi. Or maybe it’s the incredible writing that instantly engages all audiences.

But there’s always been one problem with the show. If you’re a plus-sized girl, you’ve been out of luck getting into some Riverdale merch. Shopping mall standby Hot Topic used to have a Riverdale clothing line, including Jughead’s iconic beanie and a Riverdale High letterman jacket, but the women’s options didn’t really impress or get up to the plus-size range.

Thankfully, there’s Torrid. The woman’s clothier has come out with an 8-piece line of products that are sure to catch any Riverdale fan’s eye.

The 8-piece “Betty and Veronica” collection comes in sizes 10-30 and pays tribute to everyone’s favorite girlfriends from the show in a delightfully retro ensemble.

To start, there’s the front-tied Veronica t-shirt to make an unsubtle statement on exactly where your loyalties lie. This pairs perfectly the Veronica-embroidered cigarette pants that remind everyone to be “never the girl next door.”

On the opposite end of that spectrum is the “Girl next door” Betty pink skater skirt which encourages bright blonde bounciness in light breathable fabric, while the Betty pointelle heart cardigan completes the retro ‘50s look. There’s also the Betty chambray romper for anyone wanting that chic farm-girl vibe.

Of course, if you can’t decide which side of the Betty versus Veronica fight you’re on, you can always opt for the grey Riverdale High varsity cardigan that just advertises your love of the show and comic without needing to pick one side over the other.

Check it out on Torrid.com, or swing by your local mall. But act fast, since they’re close to selling out!
