It's Finally Revealed Who Will Portray Diana On Netflix's The Crown

The actress who will play Diana on Netflix's The Crown is finally revealed

Netflix finally revealed who will be playing the role of Lady Diana Spencer in their hit show The Crown, and if fans of the series were not already excited about the upcoming seasons they are now. There has been lots of speculation as to who will play this incredibly sought after role, and Netflix eventually decided on a fairly unknown actress for their Lady Di, namely Emma Corrin. Emma has previously been on one episode of Grantchester, a British TV drama set in the 1950s, and she has a role in a movie coming out this year called Misbehavior, also starring Keira Knightley.

After season two of The Crown ended, the creators behind the hit drama announced that there will be a big jump forward in time for season three, which is meant to start later this year. Season two ended in 1964, and the upcoming season is supposed to pick up from there and bring the audience into the seventies. That is also the reason for a brand new cast for season three and four, and some of the actors to be joining the cast are Olivia Colman as Queen Elizabeth, Helena Bonham Carter as Princess Margaret, and Tobias Menzies as Prince Philip. Rumor has it that Gillian Anderson will be joining Emma Corrin in season four, playing the role of Margaret Thatcher, but it is yet to be confirmed.

These are all very exciting news for fans of The Crown, and it is safe to assume things will be a bit different as this historical drama starts approaching modern day, not to mention the brand new cast.
