Harry and Meghan’s very first royal tour together as a couple has been announced. And the itinerary is oh so sweet.
As Mirror has confirmed, in autumn the newlyweds will fly to Australia, Fiji, Tonga, and New Zealand.

Those certainly sound like four fun stops, but the royal couple is definitely not all play and no work. Invictus Games (the sporting event for wounded Service personnel created by Prince Harry) this year will take place in Sydney, from October 20th to the 28th. Therefore, even though details are yet to be announced, we can surmise that couple’s visit will almost certainly coincide with the international multi-sport event.

Besides, being Commonwealth countries, Fiji and Tonga, (alongside Australia and New Zealand) are very legit destinations to kickstart a royal tour. What’s more, the couple is reportedly following in the footsteps of Charles and Diana, who thirty-five years ago chose the same itinerary on their first official royal tour together, spending 41 days total abroad. Harry’s parents had visited the Sydney Opera House, Ayers Rock, and Alice Springs, as well as Wellington and Auckland in New Zealand.
In 2014, Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge had a blast on a similar royal tour in Australia and New Zealand, and were “bowled over by the extraordinarily warm welcome shown to them."
A similar welcome will likely be rolled out in Australia for Harry and Meghan, with the Australian Prime Minister revealing that the couple will be received with open arms.
It appears that a royal tour "down under" is a family tradition, with equal excitement from both the royal couples that have visited, and the locals.
However, as Harry and Meghan are rumored to want to start a family right away, it is unlikely that they’ll spend many months abroad. Word is that by this time next year, Prince Harry and the newly minted Duchess of Sussex will already be parents.
