Why Prince George And Princess Charlotte Go To Different Schools

Let's talk about facts. Fact: Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge have created two adorable little royal cuties. Fact: Prince George and Princess Charlotte are at ages where they can attend school. Fact: At just two years apart, the siblings attend completely different schools. That last fact seems a little strange, doesn't it? Why would a brother and sister so close in age go to different schools?

Royal insiders had just naturally assumed that little sis, Charlotte would attend Thomas's Battersea where big bro, George calls his stomping grounds. But last month, Prince William and Kate Middleton made an announcement that their darling princess would be enrolled at Willcocks Nursery School instead.

The decision came about for a few different reasons. George's school, located in a South London borough, is a long commute while Charlotte's school is actually located in a church which is just a hop, skip and a jump away from Kensington Palace. Though George still has to get to school anyway so why not take both of the kids? “They chose that nursery because they thought it would be an ideal first step for Charlotte’s education and they were impressed by the team who work there,” said a source close to the family.

Things will also be a bit different for Charlotte because though George started preschool at the same age as Charlotte (in 2016) he went part-time while Charlotte is going full-time. Way to up the game, little sis! Princess Charlotte is going to need to stay on her toes as she will soon graduate from "baby of the family" to the middle child when her parents welcome their third baby this spring.

Prince William and Kate have been tight-lipped as per usual in regards to the name as well as the gender of their new little prince or princess but that hasn't stopped royal fans who enjoy gambling from placing a bet on the possible names which include Alice, Victoria, Elizabeth, Olivia, Arabella and Anastasia for a princess and Arthur, Henry, Albert, Frederick, Robert, or Louis for the newest little prince.
