Makeup mogul Pat McGrath shared a photo on Instagram yesterday of Cardi B sporting diamonds in blonde, curled hair with a studded eyeshadow look to match. According to the post, the look was designed for Cardi’s new single, “Money.” The full music video is yet to come, but hopefully it will feature Cardi rocking these diamonds.
“MESMERIZING… Can’t get enough of the DIVINE @iamcardib rocking this sublime eye for her new single 'MONEY',” McGrath’s Instagram caption read. Cardi’s hair was styled in Marilyn Monroe, Hollywood curls, with round diamonds accenting each wave. She also wore Mothership V: Bronze Seduction eyeshadow by Pat McGrath Labs in what appeared to be the red “Blitz Flame” shade. Small diamonds lined Cardi’s upper eyelid, adding a pop to the makeup look.
Cardi’s makeup artist for this look was Erika La’Pearl, a celebrity makeup artist based in Atlanta. La’Pearl also shared the photo on her own Instagram, as well as several other photos from the shoot. She detailed the rest of Cardi’s look in the captions. In addition to the Pat McGrath Labs eyeshadow, Cardi wore Christian Audette’s nude Company Card lipstick in shade “The Perfect Nude,” as well as Tatti Lashes Luxury Mink Lashes in size TL3.
La’Pearl shared another look from the shoot in which Cardi wore a gold lampshade-like hat on her head. Clusters of gold watches and jewelry lined both of her forearms. In these photos, only Cardi’s lips were visible, but La’Pearl revealed that she used Christian Audette’s Madame CEO lipstick in shade “Deep Red.” She also shared that she actually used this same lipstick as the base for Cardi’s eyeshadow look!
If there is anything Cardi is known for, it’s letting her hair make a statement. She often matches her wigs to her suits, manicures, and even her shoes. Back in June, she even sported rainbow hair—a blonde base with thick streaks of pink and blue, complete with a unicorn-horn-like topknot—to celebrate her pregnancy.
Cardi B’s single “Money” was originally set to be released on Thursday, but the rapper decided to release it early on Monday. “Money” is now available to listen to on all streaming services.
