The fierce, funny, and feminist new Charmed reboot has finally cast its trio of leading ladies.

It’s time to meet the new sisters of Charmed, who are putting a whole new spin on the 90’s hit WB show. Madeleine Mantock has been cast as the oldest sister Macy. She is a practical, smart, driven, and brilliant geneticist, who is described as being shocked when she discovers her family is made up of witches.

Melonie Diaz has been cast as the middle sister Mel, who is an outspoken lesbian activist. She is described as being lost after her mother’s sudden death. Last but not least, Sarah Jeffery has been cast as Madison the youngest sister. She aspires to be a sorority sister, but her new life as a witch is going to cause serious complications for life on campus.

All three of the above women are very talented actresses, but they have big shoes to fill. Holly Marie Combs, Alyssa Milano, and Shannen Doherty created the original Halliwell sisters. It is clear by the description of the new characters they are going to have their own spin, but fans will definitely be comparing the characters to Prue, Piper, and Phobe.

Along with the three sisters, the Charmed reboot has also cast two of the leading men. Ser'Darius Blain has been cast as Macy’s boyfriend Galvin. He is an aspiring filmmaker, who is very chill and in touch with his emotions. Plus, he is head over heels in love with Macy.

Rupert Evans has been cast as Harry, a role that will sound very familiar. He is described as a handsome professor who oozes charm and has a mysterious interest in the three sisters. Can you say Leo the Whitelighter, who is also the sister’s protector?

The premise is the same as the original Charmed, where three sisters learn they are witches shortly after their mom passes away. Their lives are forever changed as they find themselves banishing demons. A pilot for the reboot has been ordered by The CW, but no further details have been released. If all goes well, the network will likely pick up the show for the 2018-2019 television season.

What do you think about the cast for the new Charmed reboot?
