After a decade of being together, Miam finally called it quits last year and it looks like they’re done for good. Miley and Liam who tied the knot in December 2018 after a fire turned their home in Malibu to ash, only spent eight months as a married couple.
While they have finalized their divorce and seemed to have moved on happily, fans can’t help but reminisce about their love story that seemed to have come straight out of a romance novel. 10 Movie Romance
The pair met on the set of their 2009 movie The Last Song. The Nicholas Spark flick brought teen Miley and Liam together and soon sparks flew. It’s a sweet girl meets boy in a movie type of love story which got every teen on the planet swooning and rooting for the two to be together IRL.
They famously had their first kiss on set on their first day in front of the entire crew. Their chemistry was undeniable probably because the two were really falling in love.
9 They Were BFFs
Miley gushed about her co-star telling magazines she found a best friend in Liam. Since Liam’s from Australia and wasn’t fully aware of the magnitude of Hannah Montana’s popularity in the US, Miley had the chance to introduce the real Miley to the Hunger Games hunk, on her own terms.
This, Miley felt, gave their relationship a refreshing start away from the toxic meddling of tabloid media. They got to know each other like typical teenagers dating.
8 Caught Making Out In Paris
Soon after, the pair took their romance off-screen. Liam and Miley were snapped together strolling the streets of Paris and making out.
The young couple who couldn’t get enough of each other were seen smooching at every turn, in the middle of a crowd right there on the streets. The PDA sesh was photographed by paparazzi who followed the couple from a distance. But they didn’t care, they were famous, rich, young, and in love!
7 Epitome Of Young Love
The cute couple was often seen enjoying their time together like typical teenagers. They went on trips to the beach where they were snapped riding a jet ski, they’re often seen shopping together around Hollywood and eating out.

6 Getting Serious
The couple moved in together soon after dating, in 2010 they endured their first break up due to the pop star’s busy schedule. Miley says Liam inspired most of her songs in her Can’t Be Tamed album. Later that year they were seen eating out and running errands together which suggested they were back together.
They told reporters this time they are taking things slow. But in 2012 things got so serious the couple got engaged with Liam giving Miley a 3.5-karat Neil Lane diamond engagement ring.
5 Giving Each Other A Second Chance
The couple broke their engagement in 2013 and the bitter break up spawned hits like Wrecking Ball. There were rumors of Liam cheating on Miley with various co-stars which reportedly ended the relationship.
Although in 2015 they sparked rumors of a reconciliation with Miam spottings in Australia. In 2016 they made the reunion official eventually sharing photos of them on Instagram. Miley spent a lot of time in Australia throughout their decade-long relationship, spending time with Liam’s parents and family. His family, including Thor actor Chris Hemsworth, welcomed Miley into the family.

After a full decade together, meeting when they were teens, Miley and Liam officially tied the knot in a hush-hush ceremony at their home in Nashville. Soon Miam made it official posting their own snaps including these photos of them kissing finally as husband and wife.
2 First Major Event As A Married Couple
These adorable snaps from a pre-Met Gala shoot by Vogue Magazine features the couple getting ready for the event. This wasn’t Miley's first Met Gala event, she walked the event with other famous stars in previous years, but this was her first with husband Liam in tow.
During the event, Miley wore a gown with a huge bow looking contraption cum accent where Miley says during an interview, Liam placed his cellphone thinking it was a real pocket!
1 Liam Was An Instagram Husband
Here’s a bittersweet photo, the last one Liam posted of them together. In a series of photographs, he calls himself quite possibly the best photographer slash Instagram husband ever.
He’s always been supportive of Miley often seen in the backstage recording videos of his wife’s performance or taking photos of the pop-star behind the scenes. In their last photo on IG together Liam flexes her wife’s abs on Insta before the latter stepped on the stage for a performance. It’s the last we’ll see of the couple on social media together.
