Meghan Markle was recently spotted out with a new ring to accompany the massive diamond ring she got from Prince Harry, and her new ring has a secret meaning that not everyone knows about. Meghan was first seen with the ring at a solo engagement visiting the Royal Variety Charity's nursing home in Twickenham, and it, of course, immediately got a lot of attention on the Internet. Dressed in a grey belted coat, the Duchess of Sussex looked as effortlessly chic as always, and the dainty ring just added to her elegance.

Meghan's new gold ring comes from the Turkish brand Kismet by Milka, a jewelry brand that was established in Istanbul in 2010. The brand's gorgeous pieces include necklaces, bracelets, rings, earrings, jewelry cases and accessories for the home. Several of Kismet by Milka's jewelry has been seen on many celebrities such as Madonna, Anne Hathaway, and Karolina Kurkova, and the pieces are sold in department stores such as Selfridges and Harvey Nichols in London.

As reported by Cosmopolitan, the Duchess' new ring is a delicate gold ring with a hamsa, or as it is also called; the Hand of Fatima in Islam and the Hand of Miriam in Judaism. The hamsa has different meanings depending on which way it is facing, and since the one on Meghan's ring is facing down, it is meant to bring the wearer fertility, good luck, and fulfilled prayers, perfect for an expecting mother-to-be.

The hamsa is a symbol of protection, and given all the harsh press the Duchess of Sussex has been receiving recently, it is safe to say she needs it. The eye in the middle of the hamsa provides the wearer with protection from the evil eye, which can come from someone else giving you an evil with bad intentions, also something a public figure is probably subject to on a daily basis. With Meghan's estranged father and sister not being able to resist discussing her in media, and not portraying the Duchess in a very good light, this might be Meghan's way of unofficially responding to all the drama.

Anyone who wants to get their hands on the ring, or gift it to someone for Christmas should probably act fast as any item worn by Meghan, or Kate for that matter, tend to sell out in no time.
