It's been a long time coming, but fashion, long the domain of the beautiful people, is slowly making way for the inclusivity movement. We're seeing more gay men in cosmetics commercials, Rihanna is turning the lingerie wardrobe sector into a market for all body types, and the LGBTQ community is also breaking barriers.

Enter France-based company Make Up For Ever, founded by make-up artist Dany Sanz in 1984, who wanted to take a more artistic and socially-conscious path to reach a young market. As an artist, having such a company allowed her to explore options involving more than just beauty, as evidenced by her latest line of artist color pencils.

At first glance, they look exactly like the implements you used in grade school to create those masterpieces that graced your refrigerator at home. However the MUFE variation, retailing for $18 per pencil, is designed to be used on brows, cheeks, eye areas and the lips.

What's more is that the 39 pencils that make up the line are designed to go with whatever skin tone you have. Pigmentation's definitely not an issue here. They're also not designed for full-scale alterations, but are to be used minimally to touch up whatever facial areas need work, accenting the natural essence of the user.

Congruent with the launch is MUFE's decision to team up with the Hetrick-Martin Institute, which creates community and education programs in support of LGBTQ youth in the country. Until June 16, the company plans to donate between $10,000 to $39,000 of funding to the organization and is asking its Instagram-savvy following to chip in. Those who contribute will do so by posting a photo of themselves displaying their own beauty perspectives and including hashtags #AcceptedAnywhere and #promotion as well as @makeupforever and @HetrickMartin tags. The level of support will determine the funding that the Hetrick-Martin Institute will receive.

MUFE's been active on the inclusion front for years, having created a reputation for using trans and other LGBTQ models in their advertising, marketing and promotion campaigns, including Australian trans-model and activist Andreja Pejić. In 2011, it went against the cosmetic grain by avoiding the digital retouching of its models in promotion images.
