MAC Cosmetics is releasing a new, and super sweet, lip product line that will give some users a sense of nostalgia for the days of Lip Smackers.
The new “Oh Sweetie” line will feature 15 amazing flavors, all of which will literally look, smell, taste, and feel like frosting. It is a sweet lovers dream! Some of the awesome flavors include "Funfetti Cake", "Sugar Cookies", "Banana Muffins", and "Coconut Macaroon". Model and influencer Caroline Daur, who posed with flavors from the collection called "Death by Chocolate" and "Panna Cotta", is heading up the new product line.
It is not only the nostalgic sweet smells of this new collection that will have MAC users falling in love, but also the texture of these new lip products. According to a press release issued by the cosmetics giant, the formula for the line has a cushy, mousse-like texture. The press release also promised the new lip products will serve “funfetti-bright, frosted opaque hues for lips”.
As mentioned above there are a total of 15 rainbow inspired colors and flavors such as a bright blue "Wild Berry Frosting" and a green "Key Lime Truffle". Other flavors of interest are a peach flavor called "Creamy Peach Pie", as well as a number of pink colors with names such as "Raspberry Cream", "Gumdrop", and "Strawberry Torte".
In April makeup artist Dominic Skinner teased the new “Oh Sweetie” MAC Cosmetics lip collection, after he shared he used it on a number of models during fashion week. He also took to Instagram to share swatches of the glosses while unveiling all of the 15 flavors.
“They not just look like the #SweetTreats but they smell and taste like them too!!” he captioned the photo giving his followers the first glimpse of the line.
The new lip collection by MAC officially launches online June 11th and will be in select stores starting June 14th. Those hoping to purchase a gloss in the store can go online to find out if there is a store in their area carrying the new product. Whether you buy it online or in the store customers will be shelling out about $17 for these new sweet glosses, which is not that bad for the brand.
