Now that Liam Hemsworth is officially back on the market, many people are taking notice… including Lindsay Lohan, who recently tried flirting online with the actor and his brother Chris.
Fans went wild when they noticed the former child actress had commented on a recent selfie Chris Hemsworth had posted of him and his younger brother. The two brothers have been on vacation recently and the selfie was accompanied by other shots of Chris with his family, including his wife Elsa Pataky.
The Instagram account for E! News reposted the good-looking selfie, which is how it caught the attention of Lindsay. “It’s an age-old debate: Chris or Liam Hemsworth? GO!” E! News captioned the photo, but LiLo clearly couldn’t decide. “Why didn’t we meet in Sydney or Bondi?!” She commented on the photo, referring to the times she’s been to Chris and Liam’s native country of Australia.
It’s not clear which brother Lindsay was writing her comment about, but we’re guessing it’s the newly single one- aka. Liam. It was only a month ago the news broke that Liam and his new wife Miley Cyrus were separating after only five months of marriage. Liam has already filed for divorce, while his soon-to-be ex has been spotted getting cozy to a Kaitlynn Carter, who recently separated from Adam Brody.
Sources said that Liam’s family ‘freaked out’ when photos of Miley and Kaitlyn getting cozy surfaced, which is potentially why he filed for divorce so quickly. Before that, evidently, the Aussie native was hoping he and his long-time love could work things out.
“He thought they could work it out, but all those pictures of her and Kaitlynn ended that,” a source told Us Weekly. “Liam comes from a very conservative family and his family was freaked out by it.” Other sources have implied that the break-up was initiative by Miley, who was frustrated with her husband’s partying habits.
The former couple has only had good things to say about their split, however. When a representative for Miley confirmed their break-up, they made the split seem amicable.
“Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time. Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers,” the rep told People. “They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy.”
