Most women would never dream of intentionally going braless in public. It's uncomfortable and just doesn't feel right. If anything, women go braless in public because they don't care. It's generally seen as a bad idea that's going to earn you ridicule or sideways glances from anyone who sees you (even if they know you or not). But apparently, there's a way to do exactly that without looking trashy whatsoever.
According to Vogue, French-American actress and model Lily-Rose Depp (yes, Johnny Depp's daughter with Vanessa Paradis) showed up to an event pulling off the braless look flawlessly. At the Cesar Revelations 2019- an annual event that celebrates rising talent within French cinema- Depp wore a cute yet sexy number to show off her killer figure. The dress comes from Coco Chanel's Spring 2019 collection. Both the top part and hem are lacy and periwinkle blue; the rest is pastel-coloured plaid in tweed.
Yes, this is clearly not an everyday look that you can wear while at work, school, or simply running errands. It's also not an outfit that most women either can or would dare to wear, regardless of what the occasion may be. But there's no denying the Depp's outfit is incredibly daring and sexy- perfect for an event that celebrates French cinema. Plus, this little dress just screams Chanel. It fit their Spring collection so well because its theme had been all tropical everything.
Granted, Depp has never been one to shy away from taking fashion-related chances. She's experimented with the cropped jumpsuit in November of 2018 when she attended the re-launch of No. 5 L'Eau. Then, at the Bangkok Resort 2019 event, Depp took the concept of so-called "logomania" to the next level. So it's safe to assume that Depp is a woman not afraid of making a bold statement when it comes to her outfit selections for events.
It's clear that there's a way to nail the braless look because Depp did exactly that. Needless to say, the actress/model hit the nail on the end when it came to her outfit choice for this year's annual Cesar Revelations.
