Laverne Cox recently shared she has been “in love” after finding love on Tinder. The Orange Is The New Black actress met her boyfriend nearly 10 months ago on the dating app. Laverne opened up about her very first date with the mystery man, and how she kept things very lowkey and casual.
The star revealed she showed up in jean shorts, and completely makeup free, and is glad that the risk “worked out”. The couple has even met each other’s families, while Laverne has met both his parents, and he has met her mother. Laverne admitted that “everyone gets along” and “his family is amazing”. Seems as if the two are a match made in heaven, but who exactly is the lucky guy?
Well, Laverne finally revealed her boyfriend to the world! The actress posted a selfie of the two together, in bed, onto her Instagram for all to see who is truly making her happy. The photo showed the two getting cozy, as Cox rocked lingerie and her man going completely bare-chested.
Cox added in a few heart emojis into the post, allowing her fans to know that things are definitely getting really real, real fast! As exciting as the reveal may have been, it didn’t take social media too much time before acting a little shady.
The photo received some criticism from the unstoppable Internet trolls who seemed to be a little disapproving of her being with a white man. “Not surprised Laverne Cox is with a white man,” user @ItsTimHell said. Another Twitter user added in, “Laverne Cox got a white man. The LGBT love themselves some white men when they get a lil coin.” Yikes! Talk about harsh and unnecessary comments.
Despite the ignorant remarks by many, most of Laverne’s fans were at her defense! Many Twitter users shared their happiness for the star, mentioning how “cute” the couple seemed.
Real Housewife of Atlanta star, Kim Zolciak, even chimed in declaring how Laverne’s new bae looks a little like Zolciak’s husband, Kroy Biermann. We gotta admit, there is a little resemblance. We’re glad to see Laverne all smiles in her newest pic, and hope to see more of her and Mr. Loverboy!
