2019 has been a fantastic year for American singer/songwriter Lana Del Rey. Her newest album, Norman F***ing Rockwell, has garnered a ton of critical and commercial success respectively. Her fans are super happy to hear new music, and critics are loving said new music. On top of this, Del Rey is set to collaborate with fellow pop superstars Ariana Grande and Miley Cyrus on a song for the upcoming Charlie's Angels reboot. We cannot wait to hear that single!

In the meantime, Del Rey recently expressed her love for Grande's music by covering her hit song, "break up with your girlfriend, i'm bored". Del Rey covered the wildly popular song off of Grande's album sweetener while visiting the BBC Live Lounge in the United Kingdom. It appears that fans of either Del Rey and Grande (as well as fans who adore both singers) love this unique take on this famous pop number.

The video shows Del Rey sitting in an office chair inside the BBC Live Lounge. She's holding her iPhone- which is covered in cute cherries- to read the lyrics while singing the song in question. Del Rey utilized her trademark sultry voice in a way that breathes new life into Grande's single. There were also pre-recorded backing vocals added alongside Del Rey's gorgeous voice to help make the cover more mysterious and enigmatic than it already is. All of these factors turns "break up with your girlfriend, i'm bored" from a bubbly, cheeky pop song to a sexy, sleek performance.

Will we ever see Grande cover a Del Rey song at the BBC Live Lounge or somewhere else in the near future? It's hard to say. As of now, it doesn't appear as though Grande has voiced her thoughts on her future collaborator's take on one of her more popular hit songs. But perhaps that will change sooner than later. Only time will tell to see what ends up happening between the pop singers.

Fans of Del Rey and/or Grande can check out the cover on BBCRadio1VEVO's official YouTube channel now.
