On Thursday, Kylie Jenner threw boyfriend/baby daddy Travis Scott an Avengers-themed birthday party. The rapper, who turns 28 on April 30, was accompanied by his 14-month-old daughter Stormi, as well as members of the Kardashian/Jenner family.
The festivities, held at Cinepolis in Westlake Village, California, included a cake with miniature figurines of Scott, Jenner and Stormi dressed up in superhero costumes. Although the couple is not, as far as we know, engaged or married, Jenner had written “Happy Birthday Husband!” on the cake. This isn’t the first time the couple has taken their relationship to the next level in writing. Last week, Scott signed an Instagram post as “Husband of the Goddess K.”
The party, which coincided with the release yesterday of Avengers: Endgame, gave guests a chance to dress up as their favorite Marvel superheroes. Jenner, 21, was dressed as Captain Marvel and Scott donned the Iron Man costume. Meanwhile, Stormi was none other than Thor.
In one Instagram post, the happy couple posed in front of an amazing red sports car before the party. Jenner captioned the pic, “Oh you didn’t catch iron flame and captain lip kit in the credits? sucks 4 you.”
Many have assumed that Jenner and Scott are taking their time in getting married in order to avoid the pitfalls of her sisters, who have had high profile relationships that moved rather quickly only to go down in flames shortly thereafter. Kim Kardashian eloped with music producer Damon Thomas in 2000 when she was just 19. The couple divorced in 2004. She then married NBA player Kris Humphries in 2011 and divorced him in 2013.
Meanwhile, Khloé Kardashian married NBA player Lamar Odom in 2009. The couple divorced in 2016 after his highly-publicized struggles with substance abuse. She then began dating Tristan Thompson in 2016. The couple ended their relationship after he was allegedly caught cheating earlier this year. The couple has a daughter, True, who was born last year.
In a Rolling Stone interview in December, Scott said he hopes to say “I do” to Jenner soon, though he admits he’s “just gotta sturdy up” and “propose in a fire way.” He also revealed that at the beginning of their relationship, they weren’t sure if things would work out. “Maybe, like, the first week, you don’t know if it’s real or a fling,” he said. “Then the second week you’re like, ‘Whoa, I’m still talking to her, she’s responding, I’m responding. We ain’t run out of a thing to say.’"
Scott also admits that Stormi has changed the dynamic of the couple’s relationship. “At first I was like, ‘Man, I need a son,’” he told Rolling Stone. “When we found out it was a girl, I was like, ‘Huhhh.’ But after a while I was like, ‘Yo, this might be the illest thing that ever happened.’ And when Stormi was born, I was like, ‘Life is fire, bro.’”
