Despite a recent spate of new eyeshadow shades from Kylie Cosmetics, the brand hasn’t forgotten its roots, namely its iconic Lip Kits, which feature a lip pencil and a corresponding liquid lipstick. So far, there are more than 60 amazing shades, but that doesn’t mean Kylie is done. This Friday, three new must-have hues are hitting shelves.

The youngest Kardashian took to her personal and brand Instagram Stories to tease the new Lip Kit shades. "So finally, these three Lip Kits are launching this Friday. And I wanted to try them on for you guys: Queen, 2014, and Kylie — my favorite," she says. "And then here is the color on top," she says after applying the pale nude-pink liquid lipstick over the pencil. "And the color’s a little lighter than the lip liner.”

"So, I have Queen lip liner on now, and then I’m gonna show you guys the matte lip,” Jenner goes on to say. "Also, all these formulas are a little different, and I wanna know what you guys think of them. They’re like a little thinner and more comfortable."

She also shows off 2014, a shade she named after the year she dyed her hair a blue teal. "So that’s that. These three new children of mine launch this Friday on kyliecosmetics.com. And I love this color so much, I’m about to shoot it at my photo shoot right now,” she says.

In less happy Kylie news, the young entrepreneur has been hit with a lawsuit over the Born To Sparkle liquid gold eyeshadow, which debuted on August 6 for her birthday collection. Jenner is being sued by Sheree Cosmetics, which alleges that they had been selling the same glitter eyeshadow since October 2017.

The complaint, filed at the US Southern District of New York, cites trademark infringement, false designation of origin and trade dress infringement. According to the brand’s founder, Tiffany Herrmann, the lawsuit is an attempt to “protect her business” and everything she “has worked so hard for.” She fears that the release of an eyeshadow with the same name may have led potential customers away from her business.

2014 DROPPING THIS FRIDAY ✨

“We are a truly self-made business and I wonder who was led to the wrong Born To Sparkle palette when searching for ours. As far as an outcome we just want to make sure that Born To Sparkle is protected and that what is right prevails.”

Kylie has not made any comments regarding the lawsuit. This year, Forbes valued Kylie Cosmetics at over $900 million.

This isn't the first time Jenner has been accused of copying the work of others. In 2017, she was accused of releasing a camouflage-themed collection of clothing that was very similar to a collection by New York brand Plugged NYC. Jenner had been previously spotted wearing the brand's clothing. This past summer, Kylie and Kendall Jenner were sued by Michael Miller for using his photo of Tupac on a T-shirt.
