Mario Dedivanovic, otherwise known as MakeupByMario, has a simple solution for acne breakouts! The notorious makeup artist is known for stunning looks appearing on the faces of Kim, Kourtney, and Khloe Kardashian, and celebrities alike have declared this magic ingredient as a go-to blemish remedy.
Harper’s Bazaar recently came out with a show called #TheBeautyShow, which features the amazing works of Mario, who said that the one product everyone should have for fighting acne is tea tree oil. Yes, that’s right! Tea tree oil is Mario’s go-to for any acne outbreak and should be yours too. The makeup artist shared how spectacular this one product is at helping with pimples, and how he has bottles upon bottles of it around his house, in his car and constantly when he travels.
The star, who has worked with countless celebs from Ariana Grande, Kate Bosworth and so many more, believes this is practically a cure to his breakouts and swears by the medicinal effects the oil possesses.
Mario is not the only person who holds such strong beliefs regarding tea tree oil, The essential oil has a massive reputation for being an all-natural remedy for acne sufferers. The oil itself comes from a tree native to Australia and possesses countless antibacterial and fungal properties, which not only kills blemish bacteria but dries them out as well. Although those with dry skin should not use this oil too often, it is practically a Godsend for most skin types by dabbing a tiny amount onto your blemish and allowing it to work its magic.
Most bottles of tea tree oil run relatively cheap, costing around $10-$15 a bottle. The oil has been incorporated into countless skincare brands and products that battle acne in a natural way. Many claim that the essential oil worked wonders on their skin, but they couldn’t stand the terrible smell. Although the pungent odor tea tree oil has, it’s definitely worth pushing through for all its benefits. In fact, we think the odor is kind of pleasant and definitely makes the product seem like it's doing its job. Although Mario isn’t a dermatologist, we definitely trust what he has to say when it comes to good skin!
