Kim Kardashian was recently interviewed by CNN's Van Jones, and the topic of the recent college admissions bribery scandal came up. Kim explained that she would never be involved in something like that and that she would never use her privilege to get her kids into college, something of which actresses Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman have been accused. The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star continued saying that she believes that paying to get her kids into college would be doing them a disservice as they then would not thrive in that environment anyway.
Lori, who is famous for her role as Aunt Becky on Full House and on the reboot Fuller House, pleaded not guilty to the accusations of mail and wire fraud, honest services mail and wire fraud, and conspiring to commit fraud and money laundering. Felicity, known for playing Lynette on Desperate Housewives, pleaded guilty to her charges of mail fraud and honest services mail fraud, and also made a public statement apologizing for her actions. Kim demes the actions inappropriate, saying that she does not believe buying your way into something to be beneficial for anyone.
As reported by ET Online, the KKW Beauty mogul says she wants her kids to be as grounded as possible, and that she is hoping that she can inspire them to work hard for their dreams. Kim, who has three children and a fourth on the way, hopes that her kids will see her obtaining her law degree in her late thirties, seeing that it is never too late to reach your goals.
Kim goes on to explain how her kids have their backpacks, and she has hers, and that they see her studying her flashcards at night with makeup swatches down her underarm. The reality star finds it essential to show her kids how she works hard for all her different projects, whether it is filming for KUWTK, growing her makeup empire, or pursuing her criminal law degree.
A lot of celebrities have commented on the college bribery scandal, and even though Kim is not personally attacking neither Lori nor Felicity, she is making it clear where she stands in the matter. Using one's privilege to get ahead is nothing new in Hollywood, and it is clear that the mother of three wants to do things the right way.
