Kim Kardashian West is full of surprises, and her latest project is that she is currently pursuing her long-lasting dream of studying law. The reality star made the revelation in an open-hearted interview with Vogue for the magazine's May issue, for which she got her first Vogue solo cover. The KKW Beauty owner shared a tweet saying she was so honored to land her first US Vogue solo cover, and that this is a life long dream of hers coming through.
Kim is planning on taking the bar in 2022 and explained how she has always had a big interest in law and especially criminal law. When Kim's father Robert Kardashian was working on the O.J. Simpson's case as one of the athlete's defense lawyers, Kim shared how she used to snoop around in his home office, looking through the forensics, and revealed that she started studying law last summer, when she entered a four-year apprenticeship with a San Francisco based law firm.
As reported by ET Online, Kim explained to Vogue that out of the three subjects covered in the first year of law school, she finds contracts the most boring, tort the most confusing, whereas criminal law Kim says "I can do in my sleep". With Kim being a hardworking businesswoman and mother of three, it is easy to understand that the hardest part is finding time to do all the reading required.
Kim surprised everyone last year when she was one of the driving forces behind convincing the president of the United States, Donald Trump, to grant clemency for sixty-three-year-old Alice Marie Johnson, a woman who was serving life without parole for a first-time, non-violent drug offense. The action led to the law FIRST STEP Act being passed, which reforms the federal prison system, and after her visit to the White House, Kim said she felt like she could do more to help people if she knew more.
Tonne Goodman and Mikael Jansson were an absolute dream. I’m so incredibly grateful to writer @JonnyVanMeter for illustrating a glimpse into my life in a way that hasn’t ever been done-from juggling family, my businesses & pursuing a law degree with such care and seriousness pic.twitter.com/1UbNSpNbi5— Kim Kardashian West (@KimKardashian) April 10, 2019
With baby number for one the way, Kim has a lot on her plate, and while she was once branded a girl with no talent, it is safe to say Paris Hilton's former assistant has come a long way.
