Khloé Kardashian has blasted mom-shamers on social media who have criticized the length of her nails. “It’s annoying when people talk about my nails,” she tweeted. “Trust me, I manage just fine. The same way I take care of myself, I take care of my baby. There are more serious things to discuss. At least I would hope. 🙄happy Monday to you.”

Kardashian, whose daughter True Thompson just turned 10 months old, posted a photo of her red nails on Instagram over the weekend. The haters quickly took her to task noting that her long nails didn’t seem suitable for carrying a baby or for changing diapers. “Omg how can you handle a baby with those nails,” one social media user wrote. Another user tweeted that Kardashian “had the nails of a woman who pays other people to do everything for her.”

Her fans, however, defended the reality star, telling critics to mind their own business. “How about y’all just leave her alone. Every mom does it her own way, just stop judging! Who cares her changing diapers with those nails — it’s her live on yours,” one user wrote.

The 34-year-old isn’t the only new mom on Instagram showing off her nails. Her sisters – namely Kylie Jenner – are no strangers to sporting perfectly manicured nails on social media. Cardi B is also a new mom with very long nails. She has even revealed that she spends over $200 on nails and recently showed off her Swarovski crystal-encrusted manicure in her Super Bowl ad.

Last fall, Kim Kardashian was called out on social media for giving her two-year-old son, Saint, a pacifier. She later clarified that it wasn’t a pacifier but candy. She was also criticized for letting her five-year-old daughter, North, wear red lipstick.

Khloé Kardashian is an old pro when it comes to clapping back at haters on social media. She was recently censured for photoshopping her Instagram pictures. “Sometimes I wonder why people comment if it adds no value to one’s life,” she added. “Maybe I’m just different… but I don’t care to be negative or passive aggressive. Our world is toxic enough as it is. It’s sad people care to criticize something like an editing app.”

Last summer, a fan accused Kardashian of “embedding materialism in [True’s] brain” after she shared pics of her daughter sitting in a mini Bentley. “She’s a baby who received a beautiful sweet gift and I was SOOO excited to put her in it and take a picture! I’m enjoying every single moment I can with my sweet angel! The angel GOD gave me!” Kardashian responded.

Regarding new moms and nails, experts do warn that nail polish contains harmful chemicals, including formaldehyde that can be dangerous if accidentally ingested by a baby. Since babies are prone to explore with their mouths and chew on their parents’ hands when they are teething, nail polish could be problematic. Experts note, however, that there are natural nail polishes that contain fewer chemicals than brand names.

Regardless of the danger that nail polish may pose, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that celebs with millions in the bank are probably not changing diapers that often or continually handling their children. It is also presumptuous to assume that because a woman is concerned with her appearance that she is unable to care for her child. But in the end, as always, haters gonna hate.
