Katy Perry had a fashion malfunction on American Idol for the second time this season.

The singer is giving the American Idol logo a workout, as she had yet another wardrobe malfunction during the show. However, thankfully this time around the fashion flub could be easily fixed with a little bit of tape. She of course took it all in stride and just kept going with the flow. Perry is a true professional after all.

Contestant Maddie Poppe’s collaborative performance of ‘Bubbly’ with Colbie Caillat ended up being a little too much for Perry to handle. She was happy with the singing and so she let out a huge belly laugh. The laugh was apparently a little too much for her fabulous silver jumpsuit to handle.

“I just split my pants!” she announced as her face dropped with shock that the wardrobe malfunction had happened.

Perry then decided to stand up, turn around, and show the rip in her jumpsuit to the entire audience, as well as her co-judges Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan. Although Richie tried to cover her up, he was a little too late leaving the American Idol logo to do the job instead.

“Save the children!” shouted the ‘Hello’ singer as Perry paced back and forth on the stage. Finally, she let out a shriek asking anyone to help her.

“Tape my butt,” she screamed as a wonderful crewmember came to her aid.

It was truly one of the most hilarious moments on the current season of American Idol. Once her fashion flub was fixed, the ‘Firework’ singer gently sat back down in her seat in order to prevent any further mishaps. Being the class act she is, Perry went on to apologize to everyone around her for causing such a disturbance.

Before the episode aired the other night, Katy Perry took to Twitter to let her fans know there would be some pants splitting fun on the show that evening. She did not disappoint her fans either.

Earlier this season Perry had an issue when she fell over while wearing a sparkling mini dress and ended up flashing her undergarments. She definitely makes the hit reality TV show very entertaining.
