The Kardashian-Jenner family are one of the most recognizable families in the world. They showed us how to contour, highlight and bronze our way to perfection, all alongside wearing their signature flowing, glossy locks. So what does it really take on a daily basis to look like a Kardashian-Jenner? Kim Kardashian revealed on her app, "I do makeup and hair for about two hours every day! It's actually a great time for me to catch up on work emails, take some calls, and see what you guys are up to on social media." Kylie also revealed via Snapchat during a solo makeup tutorial that her "low-key" look means spending just under one hour on her own face - and that's on a chill day.
Yet, if we handed them a face wipe and scrubbed away all the expensive cosmetics - would they look the same? 15 Kim Must Be Missing Mario
Kim Kardashian's secret weapon is her makeup artist and close friend, Mario Dedivanovic. Born and raised in the Bronx, Mario was working with the Fox News team where he caught the attention of Julie Banderas, he told Allure magazine, "One day, they put Julie Banderas in my chair. I did her makeup and she was like, 'Holy s**t, this is insane. Who is this kid?’'" It wasn't long after that Kim snapped up Mario for her own glam squad team.
In the beginning, Mario didn't actually know who Kim was but her looks blew him away. He recalled, "I knew her name and I knew that she had a reality show, but that was it. She walked in and I remember thinking, oh my god, she’s the most beautiful girl ever." Kim and Mario now do their very own makeup masterclasses and have been an inseparable pair ever since.
14 Kris In The Salon
Longtime fans of Keeping Up With The Kardashians will remember in the first few seasons, Kris Jenner's very own extravagant home salon which could give any luxury hair boutique a run for its money. So why on earth would she be caught out looking just as horrifying as we all do in the salon with wet hair and a gown on? Well, her home salon used on the show is actually part of a fake house.
For security reasons, the real homes the family lives in are not shown on the reality television series. The Studio City home went on the market four years ago for $9 million and fans of the show recognized many of the rooms - but then it was revealed the home never actually belonged to the famous family. It looks like Kris just has to slum it on the salon like everyone else.
13 Kylie Without Her Glam Squad
Kylie Jenner has experimented with her hair many times over the years, but there was one person who did not agree with the blue/green look she was rocking - her sister, Kim. Before her big wedding day in 2014, Kim told her younger sister that the hair had to go because she couldn't deal with it being in the pictures as she and husband Kanye West tied the knot.
During an episode of KUWTK, Kim told Kylie, "We must talk - the blue hair. I’ve got to be honest, are you going to get clip-ins or something to make it not blue?" She added, "I cannot stop staring at her blue hair. Why does she have to have blue hair at my wedding." The hair was dealt with and Kylie got rid of the punk look but not before the paparazzi caught Kylie's look before the glam squad could get their hands on it, which showed quite a difference.
12 Khloe Before Her "Revenge"
Khloe has had one tough life; in 2001, she was in a horrific car crash that caused long term memory loss and she needed an operation on her leg. She also had to deal with the press rumors that O.J. Simpson was her real father, something that her mother, Kris, denies. Then her marriage to NBA basketball player Lamar Odom collapsed after just four years when he was found unconscious in a brothel.
To get back her ex and to prove to the world that she was more than the "Fat Kardashian" she introduced a new show called Revenge Body with Khloé Kardashian. Khloe said of the show, "For me, my revenge is for everybody who called me fat and ugly. It shows how strong I am mentally" before adding, "I turned to working out, because I needed clarity in my brain and I didn’t know what else to do but go to the gym. And, as a byproduct, I started losing weight."
11 Kourtney in "Mom Mode"
When Kourtney is at home and away from the spotlight, she is fully in "Mom Mode" to her three children; 7-year-old Penelope, 4-year-old Mason, and 2-year-old Reign. The Kardashian kids have taken over the show and turned out to be stars themselves with their funny outbursts.
Unlike her long-term partner, Scott Disick, Kourtney prefers to be at home instead of enjoying the nightlife. She told Parenting magazine, "Unless I’m working, I can’t be away from (her children) without feeling guilty. It doesn’t feel good or natural to be, so it’s a struggle. Kylie has amassed a fortune from her makeup empire which according to Forbes magazine earned her $18 million last year alone. The 19-year-old's Kylie Cosmetics line sells "Lip Kits" at $29 a piece and they sell out almost instantly after going on sale. Just looking at Kylie's transformation over the years in proof that her products can make anyone almost unrecognizable with the right application process.
Kylie told Complex magazine that despite her staggering wealth and luxury lifestyle that she's just a normal girl at heart. She said, "I don't sit around and stare at my cars and Snapchat them. That's what people think I do, but there's a big part of my life that I don't like to show. I'm 'Kylie Jenner' to the world, but I'm just 'Kylie' to my friends and family." She's just like us - except with enough money to live off for the rest of her life.
9 Kendall Out of Runway Season
Kendall Jenner has dominated the runway for the past few years. Keeping Kim beautiful costs a lot of money - $2.6 million a year in fact. Alongside her BFF Mario, she also has makeup artist Joyce Bonelli on a retainer for $750,000, including a bonus for events which pushes the bill up to $1.5million a year. The rest of her beauty allowance employs a full team of makeup artists, hairstylists, colorists, extensionists, nail artists, stylists, trainers, and even dermatologists.
When Kim appeared shortly after her Paris robbery without any make up the world was shocked. Although Mario told People Style that it was the idea of her glam squad to send her out to the world bare-faced. He explained, "We just decided to not do any makeup that day. She got dressed, and we thought she looked so beautiful the way she was, just like that. She had a spray tan done, and her skin just looked so beautiful, and so we just decided, ‘Let’s go for it! No makeup.'"
7 Waking Up Kris Jenner
Imagine waking up one morning to find your lips almost three times their normal size. Captured on an episode of KUWTK, Kris woke up and complained, 'I'm a mess. My lip looks like a Who from Whoville." The 61-year-old momager is still looking great for her age although many fans believe she has had some help along the way.
Kris has previously admitted to "Botox, fillers, lasers" and a breast enhancement but a close source to In Touch magazine revealed, "Kris would love to get her pinched nose repaired, but (she’s been told) it’s beyond repair because she’s had it nipped, tweaked and sculpted way too many times. She was actually warned it could end up collapsing like Michael's did if she tries to fix it again." The source added, "She keeps looking at 'before' and 'after' pictures and just cries. She realizes now that she used to have a perfectly fine nose."

Kylie's natural hair is nothing like any of her wigs, which is probably why she favors her extravagant collection. She shared the shocking snap to her Instagram showing off her more natural side. Before she had her wig collection, Kylie would dye her hair but the ever changing look led to permanent damage so now she's found a better alternative. In her "Wig Room" at home, the weaves set her back anywhere between $650 to $4,000 a piece.
On her own app, Kylie explained to fans, "Constantly changing up my style makes me feel creative and it helps me with my confidence. It makes me feel like a new person. I love feeling different and I love leaving the house knowing that nobody has ever seen me this way. It's hard for me to go back to different styles I've worn before; I don't always like my normal short, black hair."
5 Khloe Evolves Throughout The Day
Khloe has constantly been the target of bullies during her time as a celebrity - even President Donald Trump has allegedly referred to her as a "piglet." In 2009, when Khloe appeared on Celebrity Apprentice, a source told The Huffington Post that Trump said on set, "Why don’t we fire Khloe? She is a fat piglet. Why did we get the ugly Kardashian?"
Khloe revealed she wasn't a fan of the show and that she only appeared because "Mom made me do it." She told Chelsea Handler on her show, "(Celebrity Apprentice) is just is something I would never do. I'm put in these situations I would never be in in real life. I went to home school. I don't know how to do a f***ing PowerPoint. I don't care. What is that going to prove in my real life? I'm just stressing out."
4 Kourtney "No Makeup Selfie"
When Kourtney shared a makeup-free selfie with the world, fans rejoiced as we could all celebrate that without makeup she's just as basic as the rest of us. Her bare face was on display for everyone to see after she had finished her bedtime routine. When fans commented that her hair still appeared as shiny as ever, hairstylist Andrew Fitzsimons shared the recipe for the mask: "1 and 1/2 avocados, 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 2 tablespoons of manuka honey, half of a lemon's juice, and 1-3 drops of essential oils for a proper scent." He recommends the solution is left on the hair for 45 minutes and covered in a shower cap.
This was not the first time Kourtney dared to go without makeup for a selfie - proving once again that she's one of the most real Kardashians out of the family.
3 Kendall In The Makeup Chair
Kendall took the fashion world by storm but many other models were not too impressed with walking the runway beside her. One source told In Touch Weekly, "The other models worked so hard to get a spot on the runway and didn't think it was fair that she was there. They started acting b****y,' the insider said, 'Some even put out their cigarettes in Kendall's drink!"
One of the bullies was allegedly Lexi Boling who posted a snap of Kendall to her Instagram with the cry emoji and caption: "She's never looked better." Her close friend Binx Walton then replied with: "That's f****d up." Fans were quick to jump to Kendall's defense with one commenting as a reply: "They can only dream about (Kendall's) success. Go Kendall." With an estimated net worth of $18 million, it appears Kendall will be having the last laugh.
2 Lip Fillers = Kylie's Best Friend
Many speculated if Kylie had lip fillers or if it was just makeup magic that landed her such a signature pout. Following pressure from her older sister, Khloe, who advised Kylie to finally come clean - she admitted the truth and she revealed the worst kept secret. In a KUWTK clip, Kylie said, "I have had temporary lip fillers. It's just something that I wanted to do." Khloe had encouraged her saying, "If you avoid the question, you're going to look like a liar."
In previous interviews, Kylie had said, "I’m like, 'Stop talking about my lips'. I haven’t had plastic surgery. I’ve never been under the knife." She also said about her changing face to Cosmopolitan magazine, "You guys have watched me grow up since I was nine. My face is going to get different. Now, I know how to do my makeup, contour, and everything. I’m not against surgery. I’d never say no, but I don’t desire it right now."
1 Caitlyn Is Unrecognizable
Caitlyn Jenner transitioned in 2015 and has since become an icon for the transgender community. She even landed her own M.A.C makeup line of lipsticks, lip glosses, lip pencils, eye shadows, eye kohl, powder blush, and lashes. When she faced a backlash that she was exploiting her gender change as a business opportunity, she explained to Vanity Fair, "I'm not doing it for money. I'm doing it to help my soul and help other people. If I can make a dollar, I certainly am not stupid. (I have) house payments and all that kind of stuff."
She added, "I will never make an excuse for something like that. Yeah, this is a business. You don't go out and change your gender for a television show. OK, it ain't happening.
