Teen Mom 2 star Kailyn Lowry has now inserted herself into her ex-husband Javi Marroquin’s break-up from Lauren Comeau, making things messier than ever.
Last month, TM2 fans were shocked when the news broke that Javi and his fiancée Lauren, whom he shares 11-month old son Eli with, had called it quits. According to , reports, Lauren found the reality star getting frisky with an acquaintance in their home while she’d been upstairs sleeping. Lauren has since deleted all photos of Javi from her social media, leading many to believe their recent engagement has been called off.
However, Kailyn Lowry- aka. Javi’s ex-wife- was recently vocal about the ill-fated romance. During this week’s episode of Teen Mom 2, Kailyn unabashedly told the camera Javi had been unfaithful to Lauren since the time he got pregnant. In one scene, Kailyn told Vee Torres (who’s married to Kail’s first baby daddy, Jo Rivera) that Lauren wanted to call her after last season’s reunion special, which is when Kailyn first claimed her ex tried hooking up with her while already with Lauren.
However, it doesn’t sound like things went as Lauren had hoped. “She was going through Javi to have him get me to be okay with calling her, and then, she wanted him to call me in front of her,” Kailyn told Vee. “And I was like, ‘She should have just approached me, just me and her, because she would have been more likely to [get the truth right then and there].’”
Later on in the episode, a producer asked Kailyn how she felt about Javi and Lauren’s engagement (the episode was filmed in July when the couple first got engaged). Not only did she Kailyn say she has no well wishes, but she also had a warning for Lauren. “I didn’t actually know he did it, but I knew it was going to happen,” she said. “Good luck. He’s been cheating on [her] since [she] got pregnant.”
It remains to be seen if Javi and Lauren will reconcile following his infidelities, but fans hope the drama will be discussed further on this season of Teen Mom 2.
If one thing is clear, Javi is definitely hoping to win Lauren back. Following reports of his cheating, the celebrity issues an apology to his (seemingly former) fiancée and sons. “Lauren, I’m sorry for my mistakes, I’m sorry I broke your heart, I’m sorry I disrespected you,” Javi wrote via Instagram in late August. “I’m sorry I took you for granted.”
He also addressed the boys his shares with Lauren and Kailyn: “To my boys […] I failed you as a father and failed at my attempt to show you both what it is to be a man,” he wrote. “I promise you both my actions will not reflect on how you will treat women, let alone the one you love. I vow, from this day forward, I will be the example.”
