This month marked the end of one of the celebrity marriages we were certain would last until the end of time. Jenna Dewan and Channing Tatum released a joint statement announcing on Instagram, breaking our collective hearts forever. While some stars keep their wedding rings on for months following a split, Jenna has already been spotted out and about without the important piece of jewelry on her finger.
On Saturday the 37-year-old was snapped when she was out with a friend, shopping in the Chinatown area of Los Angeles. Wearing a beautiful button down denim dress, aviator sunglasses, and an understated necklace, the star made no effort to hide her bare ring finger. People who were lucky enough to spot the dancer on her day out said she bought a number of small items, including souvenirs, while going without a purse, instead carrying a bottle of water (after all, it's important to hydrate) and her phone.
Channing was photographed on Wednesday leaving a Target store with their daughter, Everly, but the actor was still wearing his ring. The couple made their announcement via a joint statement on Twitter Monday evening. "We have lovingly chosen to separate as a couple," it read. "We fell deeply in love so many years ago and have had a magical hourney together...We are still a family and will always be loving dedicated parents to Everly." They finished the statement explaining they won't be commenting beyond it and hoped the media would respect the privacy of the family.
Despite their wishes, rumors soon abounded about why the pair split, with some outlets reporting it was Channing's drinking and flirting with other women that drove a wedge between them. Representatives for the pair quickly denied that any rumors were true, claiming news outlets are "fabricating stories", and that the only truth was already spoken in the statement.
