Princess Eugenie of York finally married her partner of over six years, Jack Brooksbank, Friday morning at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle—the same chapel that saw Prince Harry marry Meghan Markle in May. According to USA Today, 850 guests and members of the Royal family, including the Queen, attended the ninth in line to the throne’s wedding.

Other attendees included Eugenie’s mother, Sarah, the Duchess of York; Eugenie’s older sister, Princess Beatrice; the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge; and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Eugenie’s grandparents, Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, entered the church to a trumpet fanfare and roaring cheers.

Princess Eugenie married her long-time commoner boyfriend wearing a white Peter Pilotto gown with a full-length train and a Russian-style tiara. The dress featured a neckline that folded around the shoulders into a low back. The back design was a special request from the bride, who wanted to expose a scar from her scoliosis surgery at 12 years old. Her Greville Emerald Kokoshnik Tiara, with rose-cut diamonds and emeralds, reportedly belonged to the Queen, according to BBC News.

Following the ceremony, the newly-wed couple kissed on the stairs of St. George’s Chapel, as Meghan and Harry did five months ago. Before their first kiss, however, Eugenie and Jack reportedly shared an adorable, loving gaze and some giggling. According to Cosmopolitan, the Princess asked Jack through a gritted smile if he wanted to kiss. “It’s our first time,” he responded. After the kiss, they climbed into the glass-enclosed Scottish State Coach and took a 15-minute ride through Windsor, waving to fans on the High Street as they passed.

Eugenie and Jack first met in 2010 when they were introduced to each other by mutual friends during a skiing trip at Verbier in Switzerland. Jack, a bartender-turned-Brand Ambassador of Casamigos tequila, had been attending high-profile events as Eugenie’s boyfriend since 2011. In January this year, the Duke and Duchess of York released a statement announcing that their daughter and Jack became engaged in Nicaragua, and the wedding would take place in Autumn of 2018.

Although Jack is now a part of the Royal family, Queen Elizabeth II has decided not to give him a title. Rather than being referred to as Earl, Prince, or Duke, Jack will now be called Mister Jack Brooksbank. Now that they are married, Eugenie can keep her royal title, but she does have the option to take the last name Brooksbank—there is no word yet on if she will do so.

According to E! News, the Queen’s decision is likely because of Eugenie’s place in the line of succession. She is ninth in line, following Prince Charles, Prince William, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis, Prince Harry, Prince Andrew and Princess Beatrice. Eugenie is also not a “working royal” at this time—she is an associate art director at Hauser & Wirth—so she and Jack will not carry out royal duties on behalf of the monarch.
