Jennifer Lawrence is not a fan of dieting, which is just another reason to love her.

While promoting her new film Red Sparrow, J Law shared she has resisted dieting for movies in the past because she does not like it. But in order for her to prepare for her role as an ex-ballerina in the new thriller, she knew she would need to look and feel like one. Therefore, she could no longer avoid dieting.

“Red Sparrow was the first time that I was really hungry, and disciplined. I can’t be in character as an ex-ballerina and not feel like an ex-ballerina,” the actress shared in an interview with Vanity Fair.

Lawrence began not only dieting, but training with a dance instructor. It was important for her to not only look like a former ballerina, but also to move like one. However, considering how she feels about dieting, this was a challenge.

“I can’t work on a diet. I’m hungry. I’m standing on my feet. I need more energy. I remember having a meltdown, freaking out that I had eaten five banana chips,” the actress revealed.

Yes, J. Law is just like the rest of us when it comes to dieting. She is not a fan, it makes her cranky, and it causes her to freak out. Boy, does that sound familiar.

Another reason the 27-year-old is not a fan of dieting: she has a soft spot for fast food. Lawrence has admitted many times eating fast food is her biggest vice. While preparing for the role in Hunger Games she was all about trying to diet, but then she discovered Jack In The Box and her desire to diet was history.

Jennifer Lawrence is not a fan of dieting but for her new role she had no choice but to suck it up. Thankfully, her director created a shooting schedule where all of the ballerina scenes were done first, this way Lawrence would not have to diet the entire time the movie was shooting.

“I discovered this Viennese kielbasa sausage in an uncircumcised French-bread roll, with pickle relish. I had that almost every day in Budapest, which you can see because I continue to grow in the movie. Dieting is just not in the cards for me,” she said referring to how she didn’t diet all the way through filming Red Sparrow.
