When it comes to their diet and eating habits, celebrities kind of live on an entirely different planet than the rest of us. First of all, they are under immense pressure to look a certain way in general, and often have to really put things into high gear in order to slim down for particular roles. They also have to deal with the paparazzi following them around and circling their cellulite on tabloid covers if they dare to gain an extra pound or two.

It can certainly tough, but remember that celebrities also have a lot of privileges when it comes to their diet. They have big enough salaries that they can totally afford all the expensive, healthy goodies from Whole Foods. They can also generally pay a meal delivery service or private chef to make their lives easier if they just don't have time to get in the kitchen. And, they can pay a trainer or nutritionist to design something tailored to their body to help them reach their desired physique.

And let's just be honest for a second — we're totally curious about what on earth these celebs eat on a daily basis. Luckily, People mag has found a way to satisfy our curiosity with their What I Eat series, where they ask celebs to record a day of eating. Here's their calorie totals, and a little glimpse into what's on their plates.

15 Alexandra Daddario — 1,697 calories, with plenty of healthy fats — and dessert!

If you've seen the new Baywatch reboot, you probably know that Alexandra Daddario has an absolutely amazing body — slim and curvy at the same time. It's no wonder that Zac Efron's character in the movie is constantly oogling her! Well, if you were ever curious what this laid back celeb eats on a daily basis, you have your answer. Her days are filled with things like veggie-filled omelets, smoothies packed with antioxidants, and even some rice dream ice cream for dessert. Overall, she has a super chill attitude towards food, saying that "I eat what I like, even if I know it's not ideal sometimes. You have to allow yourself to cheat. I know if I have some ice cream at night it's not going to affect me negatively. Enjoy your life!" We couldn't agree more.

14 Shay Mitchell — 1,456 calories, stuffed with plenty of smoothies and greens

Fans of Pretty Little Liars know that Shay Mitchell has an incredible slim and toned physique — and her diet is pretty much what you might expect from a young starlet. She starts her day with a green protein smoothie, snacks on protein-rich items like hard-boiled eggs, and for lunch and dinner has veggie-filled meals with lean proteins. And, she's another actress with a remarkably healthy attitude towards food. As she says, "food and exercise are all about balance for me. Unless I am prepping for something that requires I be really strict with my food, I really do try to eat healthy and clean — but will also have the slice of pizza if that's what I'm craving." We totally love her attitude — one little slice of pizza isn't the end of the world!

13 Kim Kardashian West — 1,500 to 1,700 calories with a ton of protein

We have no doubt that, at some point, the Kardashian-Jenner family will probably release some kind of diet book. Sure, Khloe has touched on it in her own book, but the world wants to know every little thing about what every one of them eats and does to look the way they do — so we're anticipating it. In Kim's case, when she was trying to drop the baby weight after Saint was born, she slimmed her regime to less than 1,800 calories and cut out basically all carbs. However, she wasn't existing on plain chicken breast and broccoli — she documented three days of eating for People, and her menu included grilled chicken with cauliflower mac and cheese, lemon thyme halibut with sauteed green beans, zucchini noodles with chicken sausage and more.

12 Jennifer Lopez — 1,392 calories (no wonder she's in phenomenal shape!)

There is not a human being on this planet who wouldn't agree that Jennifer Lopez has an absolutely incredible physique — and she's getting even better with age! For many celebrities, and many people in general, it can be tough to stay in the same shape you were in when you were 20 as you enter your 40s and beyond. Jennifer Lopez makes it look easy — but it definitely requires some sacrifices, such as her diet of under 1,400 calories. Her day includes a fruit-filled smoothie, a kale salad, a boneless skinless chicken breast with yam and brussels sprouts — and even a chocolate chip cookie! We imagine her portions must be quite small to fit her calorie total, but she obviously makes it work and fills her day with things she enjoys. Plus, if she ever over-indulges, we imagine it only takes a day or two of choreography practice to burn those calories off!

11 Audrina Patridge — a surprising 2,130 calories of healthy picks

Okay, we have to admit — we were sort of shocked by Audrina Patridge's calorie totals! 2,000 calories is a totally normal amount for women to be consuming, particularly if they're active, but is stands out amongst a sea of celebs eating in the 1,500 calorie range — so good for her! Her diet is pretty standard — oatmeal with almond milk and greek yogurt for breakfast, nuts as a snack, a lunch of Greek salad with chicken and hummus and pita bread (plus an Arnold Palmer, because why not?), and sushi/sashimi for dinner along with beer and a scoop of green tea ice cream. As Patridge says "I don't think anyone should deprive themselves; it's all about self control and balancing." We have to admit, her diet sounds pretty good!

10 Julianne Hough — 1,526 calories to maintain her dancer's body

People doesn't often ask celebrities to repeat their diet confessions, but they made an exception in Julianne Hough's case — she's been asked to document what she eats in a day more than once because, well, we imagine the demand was high. Everyone wants to know how she gets her amazing physique! Turns out, it's pretty much exactly what you would think. She guzzles green juice before her workout, has steamed eggs with avocado and tomato for breakfast (no toast), an Apple Pie smoothie from the famed Harley Pasternak for a snack, and both her lunch and dinner consist of a ton of simple steamed veggies or salads with proteins like boneless skinless chicken breast and salmon. She noshed on four dark chocolate covered almonds for dessert, but given how hard she works out, we've got to say — maybe have a couple more, girl! You earned it!

9 Ayesha Curry — 1,806 calories, including whipped cream and bulletproof coffee

Given how associated she is with food and how involved in the culinary world she is, we have to admit, we were majorly curious about what Steph Curry's gorgeous, talented wife Ayesha Curry consumed in an average day. Apparently, she starts her day with bulletproof coffee (brewed coffee with some coconut oil, grass-fed ghee, and manuka honey), scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and some cucumber avocado cold soup. For lunch, grilled chicken breast with broccoli, sweet potato and quinoa. For dinner, salmon with rice and roasted vegetables. However, she definitely treats herself — she had a glass of wine with dinner, and for dessert, she topped her healthy berries off with an indulgent dollop of whipped cream. It's all about balance! Her diet sounds absolutely delicious, and we imagine Steph probably agrees (although his portions are likely a lot bigger!).

8 Jenna Dewan Tatum — 1,431 calories of plant-based meals

A lot of people obsess over Channing Tatum's amazing physique — and yes, when he's training for Magic Mike and similar roles, he has an incredible body — but his wife Jenna Dewan Tatum also looks totally incredible all the time. While many know her primarily as an actress, she's also a dancer, and we imagine knows all the tips and tricks on fuelling your body. The animal-lover eats plant-based foods because, in her words, "not only is it healthy and yummy, but I feel ethically right." Her daily diet includes things like green smoothies, quinoa tabouli, cucumber and tomato salad, and a delicious sounding quinoa bowl topped with black beans, tomatoes, roasted squash, zucchini, red peppers, avocado, corn, salsa, tortilla strips, and vegan chipotle sauce. Um, can we have her personal chef's number please, because that sounds incredible.

7 Nicole Scherzinger — 1,571 calories, including green juice and chocolate truffles

We imagine Nicole Scherzinger had much more pressure to maintain a certain physique when she was performing with The Pussycat Dolls and wriggling into her stage costumes (which often didn't cover much), but even now that she's a solo act, she's in phenomenal shape. And that's partly because she's a fairly clean, healthy eater in general. Her daily calorie total clocks in at around 1,500, and she loves Greek yogurt, cold-pressed green juice, salads sprinkled with turkey and avocado, and reasonable portions of gluten-free pasta with simple tomato-basil sauce. Our favourite part of her food diary? She finished off her day with 2 oz. chocolate truffles — sometimes you just need to treat yo' self! While her everyday diet is pretty impressive, Scherzinger admits that if she wants to shed a few pounds for something, she just avoids eating late at night.

6 Lori Loughlin — a strict 1,261 calories of steamed protein and veggies

Lori Loughlin looks absolutely incredible, we're just going to start with that. It's been decades since she played the character of Aunt Becky on Full House, but she looks basically the same today — and that's quite an achievement. Her daily diet is quite low calorie, and filled with what you may picture as diet staples — simple oatmeal with cinnamon and some chopped nuts, an apple, a handful of almonds, a grilled chicken breast with green salad, and some grilled fish with asparagus and brown rice. No dessert. Obviously, Loughlin has found what works for her body, because she looks absolutely phenomenal, but we hope that she treats herself every now and then. She's commented on her choices, saying that "I notice a difference in my body, in my energy and physically in how I look [eating the way she does]. When I do have the white bread, the white flour, I just feel puffier and doughier."

5 Tracee Ellis Ross — 1,880 calories of protein and potato chips

Tracee Ellis Ross is basically our spirit animal. The actress is absolutely larger than life, loves nothing more than a bold lip and an outfit that makes a statement, and is just filled with joy 24/7. She even commented that "I don't restrict my eating to firm meal times. I eat in the same philosophy that I live with: joyfully!" That's how we should all be eating! She hydrates with about a gallon of water a day, and has a delicious-sounding meal plan that includes Special K cereal, protein smoothies, hard-boiled eggs, apples with peanut butter, avocado toast, steak with a side salad, and a snack of potato chips and olives. She's clearly all about balance, and we love her variety-filled menu. I mean, if you can't have avocado toast, are you really even living your best life?

4 Kathy Griffin — 1,872 calories including a cheeseburger for dinner

Kathy Griffin has been pretty open in her comedy routine about her diet and what it takes to get her physique at her age — and to sum it up, it ain't easy! It requires a lot of sacrifices and saying no to treats on a regular basis, but that doesn't mean she's living solely off green salads. When she's on tour, she tries to keep her energy levels consistent by fuelling her body with healthy options — coffee with a splash of skim milk, Cheerios and a banana, a probiotic shot and smoothie, salad with chicken breast, and an avocado drizzled with olive oil and sea salt. However, once she wraps up for the night, she treats herself to a little comfort food to reward herself for a job well done. On the day she documented her eating, that was a cheeseburger with diet coke and a salad.

3 Tiffani Thiessen — a shocking 1,083 calories a day on the day in question

Okay, this one comes with a bit of a caveat — the diet she documented apparently took place at a time in her life when she was trying to lose some baby weight, so we're hoping her calorie totals are a little higher nowadays. However, it just proves that actresses sometimes have to make a lot of sacrifices to get back into shape post-baby. On the day in question, Thiessen munched on avocado toast, a protein shake made with almond milk, halibut with quinoa and oven roasted tomatoes, and a roasted veggie chopped salad. Given that she has her own cooking show, she definitely knows how to make even simple things like veggies incredible flavourful, so her diet sounds pretty good. And, she frequently shows herself indulging in all sorts of treats on the show, so hopefully she's bumped up her calories now!

2 Mel B. — 1,310 calories of lean protein, greens, and a handful of gummy bears

A few years back, Mel B. slimmed down and toned up quite a bit, and her body now is totally rocking. She's someone who fuels her body with great foods and works out hard, and it shows! And, she comments that "I don't have a secret" when it comes to staying in shape — it's just a matter of "everything in moderation." Her day kicks off with plain oatmeal and a vanilla soy latte (yum), kale wraps filled with veggies and avocado toast (it's a serious staple for celebrities too, it seems!), green juice, spicy grilled chicken breast with cauliflower, and a handful of gummy bears for dessert. She's been open about trying a ton of different diets in the past, but the simple solution she's settled on is obviously working perfectly for her!

1 Aisha Tyler — 1,281 calories in a modified Paleo diet

When it comes to her daily diet, Aisha Tyler rocks a kind of modified Paleo style of eating. In her own words, "for the most part, I avoid refined carbohydrates, grains, dairy and sugar. That said, I'm not super strict. I try to be as disciplined as I can during the week so that I can eat what I want on the weekends, which includes pasta, bread and other fun stuff." On a regular day, that includes grilled chicken breast with poached eggs, avocado and broccoli for breakfast, steak tacos for lunch, and grilled halibut with broccoli rabe for dinner. It sounds super healthy (although the calorie total seems a little low for someone who is always running around on set), but we have to admit — we kind of want to see a glimpse into her more relaxed weekend eating!
