20 He Wants You: He'll Ask You Questions About Your Life... And Follow Up Later

It's one thing for a guy to ask you some questions about what's going on with you lately, like how work is and how your running routine is going. It's totally another for a guy to follow up on those questions later on.

If he does this, it proves that he's got it bad for you because he not only wants to know things about you, but he remembers what you've been talking about. He thinks about you a lot and considers you an important person in his life. He honestly cares about how you're doing and whether things are going well for you, and that says a lot about his feelings for you. After all, you probably ask him questions, too, and follow up on them days later. It's the same thing.

19 He Doesn't Want You: He'll Only Hang Out With You In Group Settings

This is a tricky one because if you're hanging out with a group of people and that includes the guy that you're majorly crushing on, you figure that at least the two of you are spending time together. But you're not really spending time together because you're not alone.

If he'll only hang out with you when there are other people around, you can take that as a surefire sign that he doesn't have any romantic intentions as far as you're concerned. Remember that if he did like you, he would make sure that he got some one-on-one time with you at least some of the time so he could see if you felt the same way about him. That's not what's happening here at all.

18 He Wants You: He'll Make Random Excuses To Talk To You

When a guy has a thing for you, he'll want to talk to you all the time and as often as possible. He won't necessarily have a good conversation starter at the top of his mind or really know what to say to you. But he won't care and that won't matter to him. All he wants is to talk to you.

If he randomly messages you on social media or texts you with something that seems completely random, you can be pretty confident that he's got a crush on you. It's pretty cute, actually, right? It proves that he thinks about you when you're not around. If you see him in person all the time and he's always finding reasons to chat with you, then you can be sure that he shares your feelings.

17 He Doesn't Want You: If He Answers You, He'll Give One Word, Vague Answers

There's nothing more frustrating than when you text someone and they respond with one-word answers like "yeah" or "no" or "ugh" or "okay." Even worse is when they just write back and say, "k."

This goes for anyone in your life, from your best friends to your mom, and it definitely counts when it's the guy that you want to be your boyfriend. If he's not answering you with more than one word at a time, you need to realize that he just might not be that into you. It's better to figure that out sooner rather than later so you don't keep texting him and getting upset when he doesn't write back with a romantic novel. He's never going to so it's best to understand that and move on.

16 He Wants You: He'll Like Your Selfies

When you like someone, you spend a lot of time on their social media accounts. You might think that it's super humiliating to admit this but it's really not. It's pretty normal, and it would actually be weird if you weren't interested in what your crush was posting on a regular basis. And, okay, you want to know what he posted a year or two ago, before you two were friendly or before you knew him.

When a guy has a crush on you, he's going to like the selfies that you post. This matters more than if he liked anything else that you post, from photos of your apartment to pictures of your breakfast to your travel posts. When he likes your selfies, he's proving that he likes, well, you. He thinks that you look good and he wants you to know it. Consider it flirting, social media style.

15 He Doesn't Want You: He'll Ignore Your Text Messages

When you like a guy and he ignores your text messages, that's the best way to tell that he doesn't like you back. Remember that if he did, he would absolutely answer you, and he would probably answer you right away. He wouldn't be able to stop himself and he wouldn't be able to contain his excitement that you were contacting him.

It's all too easy to tell yourself that there are reasons why he's not answering you. He's busy. He's at work and concentrating. He's in the subway and doesn't have cell service. But it's best to realize that he doesn't feel the same way so you can move on and find someone who does instead of pining away for him even more which will only upset you.

14 He Wants You: He'll Ask You To Hang Out All The Time

It's not enough to just like someone. You want to hang out with them so you can make something happen, right? Otherwise, you're always going to stay platonic, or maybe not even that if you're not friends.

A guy who likes you will ask you to hang out all the time. He'll invite you out with his friends. He might even invite you to go to family events or holidays, which is a pretty big deal and definitely proves his affection for you. He won't be content to randomly see you around. He'll want to actually spend time with you and get to know you... and see if you feel the same way about him. Otherwise, he'll just be sitting at home wondering how you feel, just like you are.

13 He Doesn't Want You: He'll Talk About Other Girls In Front Of You

This is a truly terrible thing to have to deal with... except for the fact that his guy might not be able to tell that you like him and so he has no idea that what he's doing is so crappy. If that's the case, can you really blame him? He just thinks that nothing is going on so there's no reason why he can't talk about girls that he likes.

But it still sucks to hear him talk about a girl that isn't you. Even if you tell yourself that this doesn't mean anything because if he knew that you liked him, he would like you right back, that's not necessarily true. He might really like the girls that he's chatting about and that means that he's not crushing on you.

12 He Wants You: He'll Joke About The Two Of You Dating

A surefire sign that a guy wants you is if he jokes about the two of you dating. He might say something like, "Imagine if the two of us were a couple, how hilarious would that be?" or "If I was your boyfriend, I'd totally buy you avocados all the time" (because, of course, you're an avocado addict like everyone else).

You might shrug and say that he doesn't like you like that because he's joking about you two dating, he's not straight-up asking you out. But this definitely proves how he feels because he's going to be way too nervous to just ask you to go out sometime. He wants to feel around and see how you react to his joking about you two dating.

11 He Doesn't Want You: He'll Interrupt You And Talk To Other People Around Him

It's super rude when you're talking to someone and they're always looking for someone who they think is better to talk to. If a guy that you like interrupts you a lot and doesn't seem interested in talking to you, it's a sign that he's not into you like that.

Instead of believing that something is wrong with you because he doesn't see you as girlfriend material, why not be glad that you've figured out that you can stop wasting your time on him? You're worth so much more than someone who ignores you and gives you vague responses and doesn't see how amazing you are. There's a guy out there for you who will treat you so well and he'll be worth waiting for. And he won't be rude at all.

10 He Wants You: He'll Say So-And-So Thinks You Would Make A Cute Couple

Another way that a guy will see if you want him just as much as you want him? If he says that his friend or your mutual friend thinks that you would make a cute couple. He might even bring up a recent conversation that he had with his mom or his sister and mention that they thought that he was his girlfriend.

Sure, you might wish that he would just ask you out already and tell you how he feels about you. But you're not asking him out and telling him that you want him, are you? Exactly. You're scared that he's going to say no and you're not interested in being rejected, which is exactly how he feels. As long as you figure out that he wants you and you want him, too, it's only a matter of time.

9 He Doesn't Want You: He Won't Remember Things That You Tell Him

Even if this guy asks you questions from time to time, it's totally possible that he won't recall what you've told him. He'll ask you a question and you'll tell him that you told him the answer the other day... and he'll have no clue what you're talking about.

This is honestly a really good way to see if a guy likes you as more than a friend and as a potential love interest or not. If he remembers things that you tell him, then you can be sure that he likes you romantically because he cares enough to commit things to memory. If he doesn't remember, then you're not as important to him as you thought or hoped that you were. Harsh... but so true. And it's better to know this now instead of continuing to crush on someone who doesn't have a crush on you, too.

8 He Wants You: He'll Always Hug You Hello And Goodbye

If a guy likes you, he wants to find excuses to hug you, since that's the most socially acceptable way to get close to you without being a big creep. Hugs are innocent and sweet and no big deal, especially if you're friends already... but when a guy likes you, getting hugged by him is a pretty big deal. It proves that he wants you for sure.

He not only hugs you a lot, but he hugs you when he first sees you to say hello and hugs you when you leave for the day or night. It's pretty cute, really, and even cuter when you realize that his eyes light up when you do hug (which will totally happen -- just watch out for it).

7 He Doesn't Want You: He'll Use His Phone A Lot

When a guy likes you, all eyes are on you and he'd never dream of using his cell phone in your presence. Well, okay, he might sometimes, since everyone checks social media every now and then and he might get text messages when the two of you are hanging out. But he won't look at his phone in order to ignore you and he won't want to be rude.

The fact that this guy uses his phone a lot around you honestly proves that he doesn't feel the same way. Instead of making excuses for him and telling yourself that he might still like you that way, why not tell yourself that, okay, he doesn't, and it's totally fine? You can do so much better.

6 He Wants You: He'll Laugh A Lot Around You

Does this guy laugh when he's around you? Does he think that everything that you say is basically the most hilarious thing that he's ever heard? Do his eyes always light up?

Yeah, he's got it bad, and he's just trying to find a way to tell you. Sure, you could wait around and see if he gets the guts to ask you out... but, honestly, why not ask him out yourself? There's literally no reason to. Since you know that he's got feelings for you, you'll be confident that he'll say yes, so there's no time like the present to make something happen. He'll be relieved and you'll both finally get the chance to be together. He thinks that you're funny because he likes you so much, just like you probably laugh a lot when the two of you hang out.

5 He Doesn't Want You: He Won't Laugh At Your Jokes

If a guy who wants you laughs at your jokes and the things that you say, regardless of how funny you actually are, then the opposite is true. A guy who doesn't laugh at your jokes just doesn't like you. Think about how you are around him. You definitely laugh all the time, even if he's not being funny because you like him so much.

Sure, you can explain this by telling yourself that he just doesn't get your sense of humor. Chances are, your sense of humor isn't really that confusing or hard to understand, so you can stop thinking that way. If he wanted you, he would laugh, and that's the truth. It's better to remember this so you can stop crushing on him so hard and start thinking about other guys who might return your romantic feelings.

4 He Wants You: He'll Listen Really Intently And Make Eye Contact

A guy who thinks of you as merely a friend or acquaintance isn't going to listen super intently and intensely when the two of you are talking. Sure, he's going to listen and he'll care about what you have to say, but it's not going to feel the same. When a guy has a thing for you, he listens in a very different way.

Think about how this guy acts when you're having a conversation. Does he nod a lot which proves that he's really and truly listening? Does he make eye contact basically the whole time, like he couldn't possibly look away because you're just so interesting? You can be sure that he likes you as much as you like him, which is definitely amazing news.

3 He Doesn't Want You: He'll Shrug A Lot And Give Vague Responses When You're Chatting IRL

If he shrugs all the time when the two of you are hanging out or having a conversation, unfortunately, he doesn't have a thing for you. This is the way that he shows you that he's only half listening to everything that you're saying and thinking about something else.

Yeah, it's a shame to realize that the guy that you've been hoping would be your one true love doesn't feel the same way about you, but do you even want to be with someone who can't be bothered to pay attention to what you're talking about? Definitely not. When a guy only sees you as a friend or not even that, he'll also probably give you very vague responses because he'll be distracted and won't care enough to have a serious, in-depth conversation.

2 He Wants You: He'll Act Both Nervous And Really Happy

Guys who have crushes on girls act both nervous and happy when they're around them. It's honestly the cutest and sweetest thing ever -- once you know how to look out for it, that is.

How does he act around you? Do his palms get sweaty and does his voice get shaky sometimes when he's talking to you? Does he get really excited when you walk into the room and you guys say hello? You might ignore these signs or think that they don't mean anything because you don't want to get your hopes up. And no one would blame you, especially if you've had a lot of terrible dating luck. But this a big sign that he likes you the way that you like him so you might as well accept it so you two can date and fall in love.

1 He Doesn't Want You: He'll Only Be Half Listening When You're Talking To Him

When a guy likes you, he listens super intently and makes sure that he hears everything that you have to say. To him, you're the most interesting person ever, and he would never dream of ignoring you. It's basically the exact opposite when a guy doesn't like you that way.

When you're talking to him, he won't be listening 100 percent, and, no, he won't even realize how totally rude that is. Do you want to listen to everything that someone says when you don't have a crush on them? Exactly. You just don't. It's not that you're trying to be mean or impolite, you're just not hanging on their every word. It sucks to realize this but it's definitely best not to take it personally.
