Love her or hate her, Kim is a serious force in Fashion today. The star was recently given the first-ever Influencer award at the CFDA awards, and with good reason: what she wears sells. Worth an estimated $175-million according to Capital Extra, Kim certainly has the funding to dress however she wants, and she has memorably experimented with her style throughout the years.
Kim's look has evolved, but one thing that hasn't changed is her love of designer heels. The mogul has an enormous shoe collection and has worn countless pairs of luxe shoes throughout the years. She currently prefers minimal but finely crafted pairs, and frequently chooses to rep her husband Kanye's fashion line Yeezy. Other favorite footwear designers of Kim's include Demna Gvasalia of Balenciaga, Merah Vodianova, and Azzedine Alaia. Her shoe choices have ranged from understated black suede pumps to silver thigh high boots, but one thing they all have in common is an exorbitant price tag!
25 The Balenciaga Boot-Pants
Kim was the first celebrity to wear the Balenciaga boot pant (or 'bant,' if you will), in public. Kim daringly sported these statement-making shoes in New York before they were available to the public in the Spring of 2017 after the boots had made a serious splash in the fashion world when they walked down Demna Gvasalia's runway the previous Fall. Kim paired the spandex stiletto bants with an equally dramatic cape top, featuring a plunging neckline and billowing sleeves. In true KKW fashion, she showed a center part and ample bronzed cleavage.
When they finally did hit the market, these boots sold for $3,000 per pair.
24 Balenciaga Fembot Silver Over The Knee Boots
Borrowed by North for a quick snap and later worn by Kim to In-And-Out, these boots finally got to shine in their intended way when worn with this metallic slinky dress out on the town. In the sweet shot Kim shared of North wearing the extra-long shiny silver shoes, they looked ridiculously large, like your average baby-in-mama's-shoes photo times ten. The futuristic Balenciaga shoes looked much more natural on glamazon mama Kim, cute as North may be. Kim paired the designer boots with a super-tight sheer metallic midi dress tied up at the thigh. Her casual beauty and minimal makeup kept the look from being too glitzy.
23 Snakeskin Boots From Yeezy Season 7
Nearly overshadowing her new bright pink hair, Kim stepped out in these stunning snakeskin boots in March.
The shoes, PopSugar revealed, were brand new from Yeezy Season Seven, not yet revealed.
KKW wore them with a pair of black slouchy sweatpants tucked in, and an oversized shearling and suede coat thrown over top. Although famous for mixing highs and lows, like snakeskin boots with sweatpants as she did here, Kim also can't resist a fully glam look, and we'd love to see her pair these with a snakeskin mini (echoing one of Kylie's most famous Coachella looks) to up the ante. We can't wait to see how she styles these next!
22 Lucite Heels And A Disco Ball Bodycon
Another iconic Yeezy look loved by Kim for many years now is the Yeezy lucite heel. Almost entirely clear, these shoes feature clear straps across the toes and ankles and even have a clear chunk of lucite as the supporting heel itself. The barely-there shoe was a hallmark of Kim's style for many years and was even dubbed the "Shoe of the Summer" by Vogue in 2016. Kim wore them here on a date with daughter North, and adorably matched her mini-me in coordinated Vetements silver disco-ball dresses. Although North opted for sneakers this time, we're sure when she gets older she'll love trying on those famous heels!
21 Barely-There Strappy Sandals
By British designer Merah Vodianova, this pair of strappy heeled sandals is a KKW go-to. The mega-celeb is known for favoring 'less-is-more' shoe options in the past couple of years, preferring to let her designer clothing and iconic figure take the spotlight. Don't let the understated style of her shoes fool you though; they're definitely still super high-end.
This pair of wrap-tie sandals is called the Ophelia and retails for $400.
Kim wears them in grey, beige and black regularly, increasing the popularity of the shoe by incorporating them into her well-known and highly regarded minimalist ensembles.
20 Pointed Mules So White They Practically Glow
White shoes are a summer luxury; nearly impossible to keep clean, they definitely make a statement when worn. This pair of Kim's mules are so bright of a white that they practically glow! She wore these attention-grabbing yet understated mules to the Create & Cultivate women's conference in Los Angeles, where she was a speaker. She paired the spotlight-stealing shoes with an oversized, relaxed yet sophisticated black suit, a style she has been fond of lately. Aside from the glowing shoes, she accessorized with a simple black headband. According to many fashion writers, this look signified Kim embracing the athletic headband trend wholeheartedly.
19 Slouchy Boots And Spandex
Kim's date night look with Kanye in early July had a distinctively Kimye twist: she was wearing all Yeezy season 7, of course.
She looked incredible in a matching set of silver spandex bike shorts and 3/4 zip top, with a hands-free fannypack thrown casually over one shoulder. The real star of the show, however, was her thigh-high slouchy suede boots. The baggy figure of the shoes balanced the skintight clothing up top, and the greige tone complimented the silver in a way that bordered on becoming one of Kim's famous monochrome ensembles.
18 A New Take On Her Signature See-Through
This pair of serious eye-candy pumps were Yeezy Season 7 shoes, debuted via Kim's Snapchat story. Kardashian wore these bright blue pointy-toed pumps on a quick trip to Tokyo, where she declared that she could not sleep at 5 am local time and began sharing fashion snaps instead. Kim wore the heels with her new shockingly pink hair, as well as a Yeezy Season 7 oversized tuxedo suit, with drapey pant legs, oversized sleeves and a plunging neckline sans bra or undershirt. She wore the blue PVC heels out to dinner with her sisters on their first night in Japan.
17 Thigh-High Sergio Rossi Boots In Nude
One of Kim's most-loved shoe options, the classic thigh-high boot holds plenty of sex appeal. However, the nude thigh high is next level. Kim's love of all things neutral-toned was on full display with these stunning Sergio Rossi boots. The minimalist shoes are nude suede, featuring pointed toes and chunky heels. She paired them with a bright white minidress and an oversized raincoat in a matching blindingly white hue, and a black Hermes bag.
Kim's thigh-high boot collection is huge, and since wearing these a few years ago she likely has moved on to a pair of similar nude Sergio Rossi's, but with a more on-trend stiletto heel, which retails for close to $1,000.
16 Peak Yeezy
Kim was repping Yeezy for New York Fashion Week in 2016, when she happened to wear one of her most memorable and iconic looks. The mega-celeb wore an oversized light-wash denim jacket from the Life of Pablo collection by Kanye, with only jean shorts and a La Perla bra underneath. Her accessories were what made the look memorable, however, featuring a Karma El Khalil choker, a furry white clutch, and show-stopping clear vinyl thigh-high boots from the newly launched Yeezy Season Four collection. Although Kim has definitely had a ton of Yeezy boots in her day, this is one pair we're betting she'll never let go of.
15 Givenchy Peep Toes
Kim wore these skin-tight thigh high Givenchy boots all over Paris during the SS Fashion Week of 2016, and she doubtless still has a place for them in her closet. These high-end black leather boots feature a sleek streamlined look stretching up the leg, and a contrasting peep-toe cutout. Worn here with a fresh-off-the-runway Givenchy jumpsuit, Kim also paired these with a calf-length pencil skirt and a black cape-like outfit, wearing them several times throughout the week.
These stunning designer boots are definitely in the luxe price range— with a cost of over $2000.
14 Bold Yellow Versace
Kim wore this stunning recreation of a 1995 Versace dress to the Business of Fashion dinner in New York City in early 2018. She paired the canary-yellow dress with a matching pair of sunny heeled sandals. Since the dress was custom-made for Kim by Donatella Versace, the shoes likely were as well, which makes them not only one-of-a-kind but absolutely priceless. In what Kim has called "one of her favorite looks ever," she attended the BOF pre-event dinner, just before being given the honor of being given the Council of Fashion Designers of America's first-ever Influencer Award. Shoes this memorable may never be worn again, but they will absolutely be treasured!
13 Suede Cut-Outs
These boots were a favorite pair of Kim's in 2015 and 2016. She first wore them to the BRIT Awards in February, and again for a night on the town with her sister Kendall and friends Gigi and Jourdyn during Paris fashion week. Kim paired her black cut-out suede boots by Azzedine Alaia with a stunning Balmain golden fringed mini-dress. The star did add tights— Paris is cold in February, after all.
Although Kim never re-wore this memorable party dress, she did hang on to the $3000 shoes!
12 The Dawn Of The Sock Boot
Starting an international frenzy for sock boots, Kim has worn Yeezy sock boots for years and has only recently started to stray from the style. First debuted in Yeezy Season 2, the famous sock boot was re-created and tweaked for nearly every season since then. The stiletto point heel was the mark of Season 6, which Kim and a host of celebrity friends premiered through a series of Instagram outfit posts. Kim's outfit consisted of the famous nude sock boots, a pair of (relatively fitted) brown sweatpants, and a grey sports bra with sheer paneling. An army of "Kim Clones" (as called by Paris Hilton) debuted the rest of the looks in similar fashion.
11 Dialing Down The Drama In Givenchy Fur Slides
Okay, so these aren't heels, but they're definitely luxurious. Kim looked incredibly relaxed and comfortable at New York Fashion Week in 2016 in this leisure-inspired look. She wore black bike shorts (years before the rest of us BTW) and a sheer black top set underneath a button-front loose black corset. She confidently strode down the street in her mint green floor-grazing robe, with athletic bomber-jacket inspired hems.
Finally, she sported furry black Givenchy slides; the ultimate in luxe comfort for $900.
Coupled with her lax ensemble and just-rolled-out-of-bed glam hair, wearing these slides to NYFW was a total power move.
10 Next-Level Gold Gladiators
Kim wore these wrap-around gold gladiator sandals on a family vacation a few years ago. The dazzlingly gold shoes had four-inch stiletto heels, making them a touch less casual than the rest of her outfit. Pairing highs with lows in true KKW fashion, Kim matched these gold statement shoes with a pair of frayed-hem high waisted denim shorts and a plain white tank top. She also wore a super trendy Gucci fanny pack, strapped loosely around her hips rather than worn tightly at the waist. Kim was en-route to dinner in this ensemble, and in several photos, it looked as though her right heel had broken— maybe this wasn't a pair she held on to.
9 Sold-Out Manolo Blahniks
Kim looked stunning in this outfit in Paris for Fashion Week in 2016, wearing not one but two furs, but leaving her feet out in the cold. The starlet was bundled up for the March cold, sporting a cream-colored cropped fur jacket, a white fur stole, and a pair of super-shiny metallic leggings, made in latex by Atsuko Kudo Couture. Her feet took another turn entirely, in a shimmery nude strappy heel made by legendary luxury shoe designer Manolo Blahnik.
Although her feet may have been cold for the meantime, a classic shoe like that is something to hang on to— especially since they cost around $1000 a pair.
8 Pearl-Encrusted Giuseppe Zanotti's
Straying—far—from her current preference for sleek and minimally embellished shoes, Kim had a moment in these pearl-encrusted shoes, whether you consider the look good or bad. Before she was the official spokesmodel for Yeezy 24/7, she wore these Giueseppe Zanotti shoes designed by Kanye to the Ready-To-Wear Fall/Winter 2012 show, which was part of Paris Fashion Week. She paired the intricately embellished shoes with an all-beige ensemble, wearing nude leggings, a cream colored short sleeve shirt and a large fur scarf. Love them or hate them, these shoes were made by no small artistic effort, crafted from calf leather and real pearls. They cost a casual $6,000.
7 Tom Ford Lacey And Laced Up
In a new method to wear her preferred Over the Knee boots during the hot L.A. summers, Kim wore these skin-baring boots to dinner with a friend. The lace heels featured a peep-toe and a front lace-up closure, showing a lot more skin than the average thigh-high boot and certainly making a statement. Kim toned down the glamor and edge of the super sexy boots by pairing them with a simple Life of Pablo T-Shirt worn as a dress and a classic black Hermes bag. Her hair was in culturally appropriated cornrows, a controversial favorite look at the time.
Kim's boots were by Tom Ford and came with a price tag of about $3000.
6 Denim Heels
These denim heels by one of Kim's fav shoe designers— Gianvitto Rossi— may not be for everyone, but Kim certainly loved them. She wore the blue-jean inspired heels out for a day in New York with her husband (who of course wore Yeezy Boosts), and the same pair but in black on a trip to Miami. She paired them here with a similarly hued light-wash denim skirt, a cream-colored tank top, and a nude suede duster coat. The denim Lola sandals featured toe and heel straps made of frayed denim and a matching toned outer heel. Never one to stray away from a bold style, it's no surprise that Kim somehow made denim pumps work.
5 Classic Manolo Sandals
Kim and Ye were in Miami for the wedding of a friend when she wore this total sexpot lingerie-inspired look. The dress featured a tight-fitting pencil skirt and a super low-cut corset, exposing her black lace bra. Over top, she wore a long lace robe, which at once made the look more concealed and more sensual. She wore a high-voltage thick diamond choker necklace, the only non-black piece of the ensemble.
To add an element of polish and poise, Kim wore her classic black Manolo Blahnik heeled sandals retailing at $1000.
These classic shoes are elegant and refined without being stuffy or old-fashioned and are likely to be kept by Kim for a very long time.
4 The Classic Lace-Up Yeezy
Another classic Kim shoe, the lace-up Yeezy is an important building block of Kim's wardrobe. She wears the heeled booties year-round and is the style's biggest living advertisement. Here Kim is wearing her lace-up Yeezy season 6 booties for a family day on the town in the Fall of 2017. She pairs her preferred style, a light-colored suede boot, with a super casual look, perfect for playing with her kids (well, aside from the high heels). She wears light grey drawstring sweatpants, a burnt-out white tee tucked in at the waist, and a mini Gucci fanny pack draped across the shoulder. Although she gets a ton of new pairs every season, we bet Kim is holding on to all of her Yeezys— wouldn't you?
3 The "Mrs. West" By Kanye And Giuseppe Zanotti
It's pretty well-known that when Kanye came into Kim's life, he helped to totally transform her style. As a burgeoning designer and an artist in his own right, Kanye was very opinionated about clothing, but particularly shoes. Kim trusted him to help revamp her wardrobe, and in a famous KUWTK clip, Kanye got rid of nearly every pair of her over-the-top (but truthfully, outdated) designer shoes. Of course, they quickly refilled Kim's expansive shoe closet, and one of her favorite new shoe designers was Giuseppe Zanotti.
Before Yeezy, Kanye created these $1500 shoes in collab with Zanotti, naming them the "Mrs. West" and gifting Kim the very first pair.
2 Suede Azzedine Alaia Sandals
After North's birth, Kim lived in this line of Azzedine Alaia sandals. Circa 2013-2014, she wore more than three similar pairs in this style, in nude, black and white. The new mom paired the relatively casual heels with everything from body-cons to shorts, regularly with North in tow. The T-strap style features embellishment across all straps, round button-like pieces made of soft suede separated by tiny silver metallic studs. The luxe shoes were made by the famous French designer Azzedine Alaia, who invented the band-aid dress that was the Kardashian signature look back in the day. One pair of these bad boys cost nearly $800.
1 A Simple Black Pump
These plain black pumps are understated and classic. The suede texture perfectly compliments Kim's full Balmain look, featuring a velvet jacket with matte silk trim and a velvet mini dress. The all-black ensemble was completed by her pointed toe pumps, made by Gianvito Rossi. These timeless shoes are among the most subtle and quiet shoe choices ever made by Kim, but they still exude a quiet modernity and sleek professionalism.
The shoes were, of course, a luxury item, with a price tag of about $1000.
