Halo Beauty, a skincare brand created in March by YouTuber Tati Westbrook, released their second product today—vitamin supplements made with kiwi seeds, designed to improve the skin. Each bottle of the Halo Beauty Kiwi Seed Skin Booster, also known as Halo Kiwi, contains a 30-day supply of capsules. For the best results, one capsule should be taken per day.
According to Trendmood, a beauty news account on Instagram, Halo Kiwi ($29.95) provides clear, glowing skin with regular use. The supplements minimize fine lines and wrinkles, support a radiant complexion, create a natural moisture barrier, inhibit bacteria, balance pH, and renew skin. Additionally, they support the production of keratin and collagen, which are two structural, fibrous proteins found in the skin. Key ingredients of Halo Kiwi have been clinically proven to reduce inflammation and maintain clear pores.
Halo Kiwi contains several beauty-boosting vitamins, such as Vitamin D3, B1, B2, and B6, as well as grape seed, rosehip powder, and kiwi seed extracts. According to Halo Beauty, the kiwi seed extract has been shown to balance sebum hyper-production, which is associated with acne. Kiwi is also a natural pH balancer. Rosehip powder extract has been known to correct dark circles under the eyes, while grape seed extract protects the skin from sun exposure.
Westbrook, who is known for her YouTube channel devoted to beauty product reviews, tips, and tutorials, first launched Halo Beauty earlier this year. The brand’s first product was another dietary supplement, the Halo Beauty Hair, Skin, & Nails Booster ($39.95). While the two boosters contain similar ingredients, the original supplements are more devoted to hair and nails than skin. The Hair, Skin, & Nails Booster promotes thick hair growth as well as strong, healthy nails. The supplements also contain anti-gray fighting enzymes.
Unlike Halo Beauty’s original product, Halo Kiwi is formulated without saw palmetto and biotin, which are two ingredients that promote hair growth, according to Bustle. Halo Kiwi was created in response to customers requesting a formula that wouldn’t encourage hair growth but would still provide a “Halo glow.”
Despite this request, Halo Beauty’s first launch saw overwhelming success. Hundreds of fans of the brand posted their hair, skin, and nail transformations on social media with the hashtag #ShowMeYourHalo following the release of the first booster.
