Hailey Baldwin just took to Instagram to put an end to the rumors of an ongoing feud between her and Selena Gomez. The two Hollywood sweethearts have been rumored of having beef, and mostly so because they have a common denominator by the name of Justin Bieber. Selena and Justin dated on and off for several years and had a massive fan base, which gave the former couple the nickname 'Jelena'. After they broke up, Justin quickly moved on to dating and even getting engaged to Hailey, something which not sat too well with Selena's fans.
The rumored feud made headlines again after Selena dropped two new songs last week, in which the Love You Like A Love Song singer sings about her past relationship with Justin. The lyrics in Lose You To Love Me are cleary about overcoming and moving on from a relationship, and in Selena's second song Look At Her Now, she sings about a lover scorned who ultimately realized that it was for the best. Shortly after the Wizards of Waverly Place actress released Lose You To Love Me, Hailey shared a song she was listening to on Instagram, called I’ll Kill You. Fans jumped to the conclusion that Hailey was 'replying' to Selena's song, something which the model was quick to deny.
As reported by Hollywood Life, Selena later also posted a message to her fans saying that she does not stand by tearing other women down, reminding them to be kind to people. This appeared to be Selena's way of telling her fans to stop writing hateful comments on Hailey's Instagram.
Hailey now seems to have made it absolutely clear that there is no beef or fend between her and her husband's ex-boyfriend. The twenty-two-year-old 'liked' a photo on Instagram posted by her and Selena's mutual friend, Raquelle Stevens. The photo shows Raquelle, Selena, and two other girls celebrating Selena's new music release, and the fact that Hailey liked that photo says a lot.
As awkward as it must be for Hailey and Justin to listen to Selena's music about how she feels about her and Justin's past relationship, it is nice to see Hailey taking the high road.
