If you want to use the app, you have to pair the UFO and your smartphone with one another each time, which is somewhat inconvenient, but the app provides a handful of controls and provides you with a timer so you know exactly how long is left in your treatment. In the app, you can scan the barcode on the packaging of each mask, and the UFO will then begin the treatment that goes along with it.
If you're not interested in using the app, you can also forego it entirely, and simply press the power button once to activate the day treatment, or twice to activate the night treatment. It's nice to see that there are options about whether or not you want to connect the device to your phone.
Whether you use the app or not, all you have to do once the UFO begins the treatment process is rub it over your face and wait for the end results! They're remarkable. “My skin feels more hydrated and smooth, especially how easily my makeup glides on,” said Brenda Stolyar from Digital Trends, after using the UFO a few times a week.
