Just one week ago, MTV announced that it was rebooting "The Hills," the reality series that aired on the network for six seasons from May 2006 to July 2010. A spin-off of Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County, the series focused on the personal and professional lives of an upscale group of Los Angeles twenty-somethings, including Lauren Conrad, Heidi Montag, Audrina Patridge and Whitney Port. The women were joined by Lo Bosworth, Spencer Pratt, and Brody Jenner.

Now, the cast has announced that it has begun filming the reboot with Heidi posting to her Instagram story, “Today I am a working mom going to a pool party wearing my shoes,” she said with son Gunner in her arms, referencing her stilettos. “Yep, it’s really easy carrying a 30-lb. baby with my shoes.”

Heidi and Spencer, who had a few messy years during and after the series, had mostly disappeared from public view following several unsuccessful attempts at keeping their brand going. Heidi seemed excited to be back in front of the cameras posting updates, such as, “Okay, so I finally put Gunner down. We’re at Frankie’s house. I’ve been missing everything, but now I’m ready for my glass of champagne.”

Heidi, who has been living for several years in the UK after appearing on Celebrity Big Brother, wrote the book Made in Reality, in which she talked about her struggle with bulimia as well as her addiction to crystal meth and cocaine.

"I didn't care about anything. I could live or die, I didn't care," Pratt told the UK's New! Magazine in 2015. "I had nothing to get out of bed for. Nothing was exciting."

This week, Stephanie Pratt, Spencer’s sister, and Audrina Patridge were seen on the streets of LA with a film crew.

"The Hills: New Beginnings" will reunite most of the old cast, who have new spouses, love interests, kids, and friends. Lauren Conrad and Kristin Cavallari won't be joining the reboot because of career commitments and contracts, but Whitney Port will.The reboot will air on MTV in 2019, so stay tuned for the drama.
